I need to add that only the Japanese version had the transparent windows and bright yellow gold. All others are solid windows (which fragged me off for a long time). Also they should have autobot factions temper printed on them. This is obviously the JRX boxset from car robots, so don't be surprised if yours isn't this nice.

My only problem with T.B.T. Is that I never got rapid run but you can Almost make it work w/o him! Just extend midnightexpress's waist in pants form flip down his..."Crotch Shield"(Lol?) and they would combine IF railspike's tabs werent facing the wrong way! I hate what TF did with Rapid Run!

what i love about this is, they were mint in box, and you took them out to play. I am amazed by the number of collectors who keep them in boxes! Its madness! How can you enjoy them if your not getting them out.... And yes, that applies to more than just transformers.... You Bunch of Perverts!

They are lovely as a combiner. the 3 and 4 part combiners from RID were wonderful, though the autobot build team wasn't anywhere near as color oriented. and, bruticus, I mean ruination had the same problem as, well, bruticus, Whoever heard of a military jeep being the same size as a space shuttle?

One of the sexiest Transformers ever. But RID was a sexy line to start with. It in-bodies the best of japanese mech- design. Unlike Energon Optimus Prime who in- bodies the worst with his Power Ranger/Voltron style. At least RID Prime is one of the nicest Primes ever. One of the nicest Transformers ever in fact.

I completely agree with the power rangers aspect of energon prime but RID prime is to this day the only prime (or primal for that matter) who hasn't died in the line of duty. Plus I liked armada nad energon (less so with cybertron) when they originally aired. I never remember seeing RID till i was bought the first few episodes on dvd

@durge12. See, RID Prime is even more great. He refuses to die ( although, with Prime it´s more of a holiday). I like a Prime who isn't work-shy. But I am fairly sure that Cybertron Prime also refused to die/go on holiday. I could be wrong, but if I am not, it could mean that only the really nice looking Primes refuses a brief death/holiday. G1 Optimus not included of course. He was forcefully retired before his Prime. Not that it worked.

oh no doubt that RID prime is a strong leader, he's much more serious than brothers or the spy changers so i can take him seriously as a leader. plus he has a huge-ass cannon when he goes super mode. I cant comment on cybertron as i didnt watch it because it screwed unicron trilogy continuity and it murder the g1 theme tune (rappers? really?). I know it wasn't orignially gonna be the sequel to enrgon but hasbro couldve tried to link it in better. note how animated prime died in the series pilot

@durge12. I was never a fan of the RID cartoon. But RID Prime is twelve dimensions of excellence. Do check out Galaxy Force/Cybertron. Ignore Hasbros attempts at trying to merge it with Armada/Energon and just take it for what is is. Not great, but very decent.

I didn't mean the knees and feet, you did that. It's the hip joints, the whole hip assembly extends down when you push (or pull, but I wouldn't recommend that) on the legs from the top.

I wish there was a Devastator as good as this, most have really good combined modes, but the individual robots always suffer. ROTF doesn't count since his parts aren't transformers in their own right, grr.

PS I've been working on a Lego Gestalt team, one arm of which is a steam train, what a coincidence :P

I agree. Team Bullet Train is probably my favorite combiner. It seems that the arm issue on Rapid Run may be a case of bad quality control, as my copy doesn't seem to have this problem. Still, awesome review!
