@jettingjetta i don't. only when they are young. my new bunny is like 10 weeks now and i talk with just bit high voice but my old bunny which is 2 years i talk with my normal voice so she can hear when i'm home

oh, that IS old for a hamster. 2 of them died at 18 months and my 3rd died of am infection. She was the gentlest hamster I ever knew.

I cried so much when he died. I still miss him. :-( and now his daughter, the only one of his babies I kept is getting old.

I love how you talk to your hamsters, its pretty much how I talk to mine, lol. High pitched voice, I wonder how much they hate that lol. I felt bad when you didn't help him when he couldn't get up :'( AND when he went running and just like took a face first leap down the stairs, "ohh man! Man!!" LOL, he was such a brave little boy. Bless his tiny soul, RIP Mr. Man!

Thanks. Sometimes it's hard, like when I had to take the tubes out of his cage because he just couldn't climb. Or when he stopped being able to use his hamster ball. It breaks my heart when he falls over and can't get back up.

He does look old but still he seems quite healthy, too.

26/27 months. I mean I took him to the vet about the arthritis but since he's still eating, drinking, and alert she doesn't want to put him on anything. If it really starts to cause him pain though he'll go on steroids. But those have side effects so we're pushing it off for now.

i love when he sits down like that, it's so cute! i remember one of the babies doing that in one of your old videos. it was plopped down with it's little feet kicked out, it was sooo precious!

It's heartbreaking because of how he'll fall on his back and have difficulty getting back up- some days are better then others. But I love how he DOES get back up and he WANTS to be out and about...

I like 1 minute 30 seconds-ish when he's cleaning on my hand. He just plopped down. Hehehehe. :-) The arthritis may get him down but he still keeps going!!!!
