That's where Spartan 117 (master chief) landed after his re entry from space, and if you know anything about space flight and re entry you'd know that an object entering atmosphere is quite fast and it would fly halfway around earth before touch down.

So the coordinates are right, and the makers of this video did their research, unlike you.

I was at the Weta Cave in Wellington, NZ and they've got the Warthog in the garage doing nothing. He said they occasionally take it out for a spin. I asked him what the chances were of the film coming out and he seemed to think that it's never going to happen now.

If it ever does and Weta and Peter Jackson are involved it's going to be a long time from now, not even 2012 because of the amount of other projects he has.

When you think that all of this is to just get the coordinates of where Master Chief will land and how many people probably died to do this it ALMOST seems like it may not be worth it. These aren't regular soldiers though. They're ODST's (Orbital Drop Shock Troopers) we didn't see much of them in the games but apparently they're more efficient then regular marines.
