  • LOVE endurance !!!! :D Just completed our first Limited Distance (30 miles at Fort Valley, VA)

  • Great video and absolutely gorgeous trails!! This makes me miss trail riding sooooo much. I can't wait for my colt to be old enough. :) It will probably be another two and a half to three years before we get to do that. Great song choices too.

  • wow I'm so jealous what a beautiful place to ride!

  • Omg look soooo fuuun!:)

  • LOVE IT.... so have to do a ride in the usa. I'm in Aus :-) Inspiring scenery. Thanks so much!!

  • Well done! When you got to Horsetail Falls area I started to cry remembering what it's like to view the trail and the beauty of the earth through the gray ears of a willing companion. My first endurance horse was an "ears up gray" who carried me across the trail with enthusiasm and joy. Thank you for sharing! I've ridden this ride several times besides, and it's one of my favorites.

  • I'd love tno get into Endurance..any suggestions? I live in Texas.

  • Fantastic video, and soundtrack.Did my 1st 100miler last year on my Appaloosa mare but our rides in the Uk look so tame compared to yours. We just don't have the same open space that you guys have. Would love to experience a ride in the USA don't know which. Tevis is the one that everyone talks about but this one looks great. Your horses look great too, i know my two mares love to get out on the Trail.Thankyou for sharing your lovely day out.

  • What a perfect song for the video. You must be a talented rider to go thru that footing & filming!!!!!!!!

How can you find the trail out there? Whew, in the MW it is easier to see the trail, you just have to make sure it is the right one!!!

  • ah!!! the scenery is breathtaking!!! Was that a pure Paint horse there?? Or part paint? Good job with the camera! It wasn't even that shakey or bouncy even while trotting!? How did you manage that?!

  • Well done! What a good representation of an endurance ride. And it looks like you have a happy horse. I love how his ears are forward on the trail.

  • I keep watching this video over and over! It makes me feel as if I'm riding the trails myself.. I had to laugh at myself when I caught myself ducking (at my computer desk) to avoid the low-hanging branches! Keep posting.. your videos are like a mini-vacation!

  • I love this video! great shots and well matched music. It made me cry.. I would love to do endurance, even if for the opportunity to see the countryside with my horse... I don't see how I can with my work schedule (work every weekend..ER RN) I can't get more than 2 weekends off a year.. My financial goal is to be able to retire in Colorado or somewhere near the mountains so that I can be near BLM land for unlimited miles to ride in..

  • this is the best and most engaing video I have ever seen on utube always wondered if an ER segment would be a good clip and worthy as a spectator sport can see that it is indeed a grand thing to share.AERC ride myself, makes me really apreciate your ride video even more so. arabian so smooth ?(tease)or what kind of video camera takes the jarring out so nicely....great job with the footage and choices of scenes while riding,is hard enough just being a partner safety wise. THNK Y

  • wow. where was this

  • Can you ride an Andalusian Horse in this and would it survive?

  • If you conditioned for it, particularly for the climbing, then sure, why wouldn't it? Endurance is done by all manner of horses - arabians just happen to be naturally really good at it - but that doesn't mean other breeds can't do distance.

  • This is my favorite of your videos, but I've enjoyed all your posts. This one brought me to tears; I used to live in that region. I recently adopted a mare that was rescued off the Fallon, NV feedlot, a beautiful 3 year old arab headed for slaughter. Someday, we may do this ride. I'll be posting her story and progress soon. I'm so inspired; keep posting.

  • Well done on a lovely video. Stunning scenery and your horse looked so well the following day.

  • As long as we didn't have to run a lot I think even my big mare could make it. Maybe.d For a draft cross she enjoys cantering a lot.

  • Eh. On second though....def not for her. Still, makes me wanna get out and ride too!

  • Cool scenery. That's the way I love to see the country - from the back of my horse. Although the grey horse could back off a little and give the horse in front of him a little room going up the hill. Meks me want to get out and ride!!!!

  • what song is this?

  • The first was "Beautiful Day" from U2, the second "Brand New Day" from Sting.

  • Certainly a unique look into endurance riding in America- beautiful scenery!

I've been wanting to get into endurance myself, but first i've got to get me and my horse in shape!

  • Wow this is great. I would love to ride there sometimes...

Thank you for this beautiful video and have good luck next year and fun with endurance! :-)

  • I am an endurance rider, yes we race, but first comes the safety of the horse and on this terrain, you can but walk.

    Happy Trails!

  • My husband and I want to thank you for taking the time to video this. It was a treat.

  • Endurance riding is somewhat like a marathon, just the track is usually longer and the horse does most of the work although endurance rider also has to be fit enough to run long distances along his horse to allow the horse to rest and at the same time not loose to much time.

  • It just seemed like a long ride to me. At any point do they actually race? What about towards the end?

  • stoer!!

  • what exactly is endurance riding

  • You live in the United Arab Emirates and you don`t know Endurance Riding ?

There is a video on my page about the World Championchip of Endurance Riding 1998 in Dubai : look google . ourhorsesonvideo

  • Wonderful, beautiful video! Thank you.

  • Beautiful! Thank you for putting this together and sharing it.

  • Loved it! I hope to do an endurance ride in those mountains someday, and plan to go to the Cascades as well!

  • Fabulous view of endurance riding and fantastic musical selections. Great job!

  • THIS VIDEO ROCKS! THANKS!

  • Very cool! Thanks. My wife loved that ride, I was crew. I hope to do that ride in the future!!
