Yay! Going natural is easier than most think! Just to let you know, you don't HAVE to big chop! I didn't and with it straight, my hair is on my back now. ITs grown a LOT! Invest in Scurl spray...IMO, its the best shit that you can put on hair to slick it down. If you must use something thats like gel, get some aloe vera gel...it works just as well as regular gel. Don't use the dark gel or gel that makes your hair too hard

I just let it grow as was...and when it got down to the last inch or so of perm, then I cut it. I was determined not to cut my hair

I did the same thing. I felt it was a bit too fake for me with the perms. I took my mother, and temporarily, my cousin along with me to Nappy Town.
