  • Inorganic hydroponics is not "fading" at all. It's still growing at a massive pace. If anything organic is a fad.

"Killed it" is not a scientific term. Saying that you "killed it with Botanicare" doesn't mean squat. Side-by-side, both lines properly dialed in, AN will beat Botanicare every day of the week.

Want proof? Ask yourself why it is that Botanicare hasn't proven themselves better by taking up the million dollar challenge Big Mike issued to any nute company.

  • Pffft. Lame vid. And Advanced Nutrients is beat, chemy hydro is fading out of the picture quickly. Botanicare organics is my choice.

  • and botanicare is a heavyweight out here in the hydro game...fools need to step their grow game up before bad mouthing PBP and hydroplex combo

  • @daBAYisBACK Botanicare is a heavyweight?

It's a major name, sure. But how many people have heard of something doesn't have much to do with how good it is. I would call Botanicare "good". It beats the hell out of the department store fertilizers, but it's not "great".

Advanced Nutrients is great. Botanicare is not.

  • @hugetom80s - Have you used Botanicare DWC? If so, and you're saying they're just ok, then you did something wrong. I've killed it with Botanicare.

  • advanced nutrients only achile's heel is that it has a poor track record in rdwc systems except for double d's mpb's....which utilize hydrofungicide.

Big Bud and Overdrive are the shit tho, get your weight up with these two off top...

  • Botanicare sucks, the only good products from them is their cal mag and clearex

  • @boombaklot Their cal mag isn't even that great. AN's is better, but it's pretty much only sold to fix problems with other people's nutes. I've never once had any trouble with calcium or magnesium just running AN's base nutes.

  • @boombaklot - You must have done a shitty job with their other products. I've KILLED it with Botanicare. I'm a customer for life.

  • Cheaper perhaps, but comparatively I wouldn't call it "very good". It's very good on it's own, but compared to AN it's nothing special.

And what does "full biological" mean? Organic? If so AN has plenty of top-notch organics.

  • biocanna still ftw much much much much much much much MUCH cheaper and very good and full biological

  • hahaa good video

  • Advanced Nutrients vs Botanicare?

  • I'm guessing an advanced nutrients representative put this video together. i think most people are long aware of what hype advanced hasn't been. 30 products for themselves to compete against and say you no longer need big bloom a and b, but get connoiseur. all a wste of money. side by side with any product, including miracle grow beats advanced money nutrients.

  • @Zhottaz Thanks Captain Obvious. Everyone else already knew the grow was done by Advanced Nutrients. Wanna know how the rest of us figured it out? They grew cannabis. No one else has the balls to admit they grow it.

It's not hype if you can back it up. I've used AN, have you? Then you'd know it works and you wouldn't be running around shooting your mouth off and flaming stuff you don't really know about.

  • Very nice presentation! I think the secret to bigger yields in hydroponics is to find a formula that contains a lot of the nutrients that plants need for the different stages of their growth. Some formulations may not be enough because they do not have the right set of nutrients that plants can utilize for better growth.

  • Where'd you hear that nonsense? Just because it's dutch doesn't mean it's good.

Doesn't mean it isn't good either. The country something comes from has nothing to do with quality. I've done my own side-by-side and I have yet to find anything that even holds a candle to AN.

  • i've heard people have better results with ionic grow and bloom and canna. Stick with the dutch nutrients

  • I've never really used their full indoor line up, but their outdoor nutrients, Heavy Harvest are kick ass. I'll never use anything else.

  • YUP THAT SCIENCE,..........

  • I use advanced nutes but not the whole lineup, iguana juice grow and bloom, voodoojuice, bigbud, calmag, and sensizyme. and get great results.

  • I believe that advanced may be ok nutes, but I know everyone who has grown a while says general hydroponics is the shit. I just cant believe they say it yields 6.8% THC on a strain everything else is yielding like 12-14% THC. this seems a little off to me! as in there is no way! Maybe weight wise or THC wise a little bit but this is like saying general hydroponics takes away THC or something.

  • @willeng84 People often forget the difference between genetic potential and actual potential. Genetics only determine what a plant CAN do, not what it actually will do. If you drop a brick on it every day you're not going to get anything close to the results you would if you didn't.

So it stands to reason that if a nutrient isn't up to snuff it won't feed the plant properly and the plant won't grow to its full potential.

  • @willeng84 yeah and i was under the impression that the thc content was mostly due to genetics ?!?! i use gen hydro cause theyre cheaper and id have to say i achieve way more thc content than that

  • @iamsicsic6 Every year some world record in running, jumping or whatever gets broken. Is it the genetics that's improving or the training? Nature or Nurture?

Genetics is only part of the equation but there's no reason for us to think that the highest THC recorded for a certain strain is the best it can do. It's only the best we've seen it do.

  • i tried thier products. Some of them work, some of them are just full of shit... But you need to test it which one works . I find it ok, but not as they promise in this add.

  • So, GH are the guys to beat ? The NASA experiments ones ? I'll give them a go next time , thanx man !

  • I suppose, if anyone has tried Advanced Nutrients, they know the stuff. Advanced Nutrients has 16 Full-time Lab Ph.D. scientists, 31 Patents, and a technology at least a decade ahead of competitors.

  • @roamingdancer ..and still H&G does better products..as Big Mike freely admits..

  • @StreetsOfBern Bike Mike is beyond what normal businessman are. He thinks about the community. The only product which was for some time better - Bike Mike did not hesitate to appreciate it. To say the truth is Advanced Nutrients' Culture. And as part of that culture, I must tell you - Advanced Nutrients products are many times better than competitors' product in the market. If the product is not better, we do not even release it. I am associated with Advanced Nutrients and know it first hand.

  • @roamingdancer

    There we go

    youtube.com/watch?v=-JJb3JiqYlY

  • @roamingdancer is there like a set of advanced nutrients u can use,u know the way like canna have a set

  • @cappeeler09 Yeah, they've got a few new "bundles". I would say the Hobbyist bundle is pretty comparable to what you're talking about.

  • @cappeeler09 Yes there is. Canna has one, Advanced Nutrients has 4. And 3 different Levels of expertize levels. Advanced Nutrients has understood that it takes time to become an expert in managing hydroponic growing. In the Advanced Nutrients website, AdvancedPedia is a great place to start getting introduced to Advanced Nutrients. Advanced Nutrients come with money back guarantees, welcome to the Advanced Family.

  • Canna? Best?

Oh, their stuff is good, no doubt. But hardly best. Do they pay more if you type it in all caps?

  • CANNA IS THE BEST

  • got iguana juice and bud candy, works alright so far

  • I just got done with my first Advanced Nutes grow, and man have I been waisting money and time with other stuff. My conditions were not even perfect this time, and my light was not even as close as my last few times.

I seriously felt like Gene Wilder at 1:18 when I first dried and smoked my first bud from the Adv Nute grow. I can't bring myself to spend money for topshelf at dispensaries anymore after sampling my own bud. Most impressively , results do not show much variation.

  • Advanced Nutrients is certainly #1 - they stand up for growers and they are not afraid to say what their nutes are for. Finally, someone who is ready for legalization and has been helping MMJ growers all the time, even when others have just turned their backs on growers. I would never buy anything but AN - and knowing they've proven their effectiveness, that's ever better!

  • Really? I want to know which nute is the best. And while I don't have the equipment to test out Advanced Nutrients on my own, I can tell that the harvest is much stronger than it's been with other products. Sure, everyone's competing, but that's good. Don't you want everyone to be trying their best to make a great nute? I do!

  • @sos60joker how do you measure the thc content of your bud?

  • @tintala LOL you dont know enough about hydro.

if your ph raised on a recirculating system you dont have enough nutrients in your mix, and same with the other way, if PH is dropping you have too much food...this is in relation to what roots are able to deal with.

  • love these nutes - organics are my fave. easy to use and not many probs, even when i was a noob...

  • I question how much research was done. My bottle of Advance nutrients does not even seal !! If I tilt it sideways to read directions or shake before use, it is leaking on my floor !!

    Not impressed.

  • @Gojigwr Furthermore, the directions themselves are vague. I still dont know if this product is designed to be used with my regular nutrients or as a stand alone.

  • DUDE, i had the same problem and thought the best nute company can not have bottles that don't even seal... if you turn it another 180 degrees tighter than you will have yourself a water tight AN bottle

  • I guess I am just a hopeless subscriber to the Lucas Formula and all of the Lucas Formula posts on the internet. I love Lucas.

  • @superskunkfooker

The Lucas Formula is great! But you don't have to limit yourself to using GH's three part to use it. I've been using AN's GMB with the Lucas formula for awhile now. It works even better, if that's possible.

  • Look up Flairform Nutes. Their name is theeir wedsite. Free Growers Guide there, they write all the time for an indoor garden mag, Humboldt Grow Mag just reviewed them in issue #5, and a famous author who's 25th addition revised book comes out in April, says Flairform is the shit! I promiss you it is. Hey, AN is a great product as well. Flairform is so easy to use and they provide so much info on their site.

  • They are a good nute for sure. Many products in the line though, which can be complicated. Flairform Nutes rock as well! Their name is their web site. Check them out. They have a Growers Guide there.

  • Organics are fine, but most of the ways of getting that done just won't work in hydroponics. And if you're dead set on growing organic, AN has you covered nicely anyway.

In fact, theirs is the only all-organic line that really works in hydroponics anyway.

  • i know what will make your buds way stickier, healthier, and bigger. grow organically! composts and tea! beats any synthetic shit any day! don't feed your plants chemicals!

  • Sounds like someone's got an axe to grind.

I've used Advanced Nutrients and Sensizym and the only way I can imagine anyone would say it sucks is if they're paid by a competitor to say so.

  • because some are organic and others are synthetics. they give you a choice to shooce whichy type you want. and the other ones are non-plant food, like benificial fungi and bacteria. and some are used for just the vegatative stage, and then just for the flowering stage.

  • right , I got that, thats basic and applies to all nutrient bases and line ups. My system is different and wont support fungi as it raises the ph with an airstone too much, others systems you can use it, just not mine.

  • the ph will rise anyways. your suppose to change the water once a week. and start at ph 5.5. then in mid week you re ph it back down to 5.5 im not using fungi either, and it still rises. a high ph of 6-7 is not harmful to plants. it just doesnt allow them to take in all the nurtirents that are available. so just ph it again in the middle of the week.

  • your right.you can not change the genetics of the seeds. the genetics in a healthy viable seed from a healthy mother plant will have everything it needs to grow as best as it can. you just need to grow it right. but AN does not suck, I use their nutrients, and it grows healthy plants. then the other debate is organics vs. synthetics. sythetics will give you a bigger yeild, but organics are natural, safer for the enviornment, and tatse better.

  • how about the flaver

  • they are little overpriced but still the best IMO. i got great results with AN.

  • Advanced Nutrients just has a full tool box is all. You don't have to use every tool for every job.

I grow with AN and I use half a dozen or so things in flowering. It's really not complicated and you don't even need all those. I just see much bigger yields with those extra bottles.

  • name everything you use. i want to compare the ones that I use.

  • happy 4:20
