I have been looking at this pistol and the thought came to me that depending on the price of the fire control group I could end up with 2 pistols for under $1000. That in and of itself is pretty attractive. One for the wife to keep in her purse and one for my hip. How hard is the fire control group to find and what does it cost?
@BlastMaster28 my advice. if your using it for self defense. do not take price into consideration. id rather spend 700 on a gun that works than 400 on a gun that will get me killed. reliability is number one man.
@ibanezkid07 I understand the basic point of your comment ibanezkid, (when it comes to safety, price should not be an issue) but in this economy, price is important. My wife has a Glock 26 and I a 23c but I was interested in the sigs. I don't believe many carry firearms warrant $700+. I checked your page and saw that you are a fan of the Glock 19, so I'm guessing you'd suggest sticking with our current setup. I think I'm gonna just get rid of the comp on my 23 due to night carry issues.
@BlastMaster28 what i was saying is dont buy something unreliable for cheap because it could fail you and get you killed. and yes. glock is defiantely preference for me. theyre very very reliable light and accurate. i would stick to what you have and maybe get something else for you home defense like maybe a 12 gauge shotgun if you dont already have one. mossberg 500s are not expensive at all but very reliable. mines never failed me.
@ibanezkid07 I'm a collector. I hear ya man. I've got a couple of 500's and AR's as well, but I'm always looking for something new. I'm a vet and a security specialist as well so you are preaching to the choir. I have my income tax coming and I wanted to get into a Sig. I'm not sure I like the idea of DAO though. I love my G23c with the 21/2 lb trigger and at night carry a full size Kimber Custom II with a bunch of after market goodies. I'm looking for something new though, suggestions?
@BlastMaster28 well you have already got a kimber (lucky) then why not a sig? i just kinda got into the p250. but i think the p229's are pretty sweet. im 17 and make minimum wage so its not too often i get to buy something like the glock i bought. but from what ive heard and seen the sigs are pretty nice.
@ibanezkid07 I'm sorry but you wrote that you are 17? Wow. You do realize how ridiculous you sound right? Your channel says that you are 30, and I'm all but positive that there is nowhere in the U.S. that will allow a 17 Y.O. boy to purchase a firearm legally. I was willing to indulge these platitudes from and adult but child get your *** back into school so that you can at least pass the ASFAB and see some trigger time before you hand out unsolicited advice. Oh the arrogance of youth.
@BlastMaster28 yep my mom bought the glock for me. turning 18 feb 5th. and i do have trigger time been shooting since i was 14. and i like how you were taking my advice before you knew my age haha. knowledge doesnt have an age requrement my friend.
@ibanezkid07 I neither asked for nor needed your advice. I asked about the fire control group and how much it cost. You decided to chime in with your .02. You are either a typical internet know it all (liar) or your mom is drastically irresponsible. Either way, even after you turn 18, you still aren't allowed to purchase a handgun in this country until you are 21. And three years is not very long. My 10 year old daughter has that much trigger time. Yes I have her shooting a Marlin .22.
@BlastMaster28 haha well you can be as judgemental as you please. in my state the age to carry is 18. and you are entitled to your opinions. and you can call me whatever you want buddy. have a good day.
@BlastMaster28 thought i might add, was just at my favorite local gunshop, they had 1 p250 2sum left in 9mm, $599. so add a couple hundred dollars to your $1000 and get 2 2sums ;)
@45Blackjack Hey 45, I just talked to my pal who is a gunsmith and he called the p250 "an afterbirth", said there's way too much that goes wrong with them and that if you aren't careful you can pretty easily ruin the gun when changing out the fire control assemblies. Said he's seen it happen at least 3-4 times in the last two years. And he wears a Sig. Said to go with the P 229 if I had to have a Sig. I trust this guy, he was a marine corps designated marksman before his gunsmithing days.

nice review! btw this is not a sig, its a sig sauer, sig is a swiss gun manufacturer, sauer a german company that mostly produces hunting rifles, for some reason they work together on these pistols, so just calling them sigs isnt correct. but sig has also their own line of pistols, i.e. the sig p 210. some of the new sig sauer models are also made in the USA, the p250 ist one of these.
@Gunblastdotcom Yeah, 90% of the population of the world is going to call it just "Sig". Great video! I was wondering about how the "2sum" deal worked.
@ArmondoOrtiz76Lincol I feel for you guys over there it's sad! They have taken away yourRIGHT to protect your family and self. And make you depend on some police officer that who knows when will show up....Not me I will be dead before anyone gets close to my family. I live in Maine we have really no home invasions. People know better we all have guns and know how to use them. Someone steps into my home univited and to do harm they can plan on a double tap from my Glock!

I betcha Commiefornia doesn't have that Sig on their approved gun list. I just wonder who gets to approve which firearm and why.

I do not know. However, you can also get a pair of Ruger SR9 or 9c pistols for that price,or a couple of S&W SD9s.

@BlastMaster28 have seen the subcompact p250 40s&w for under $350 online and the full-size kit for under $240 online
not a bad deal seeing that the subcompact glock 27goes for $475+ online, $125 price difference on the subcompacts.

Calling them a Sig is correct, just as calling a Sturm, Ruger & Company firearm a Ruger is correct.
