  • @TwinCities16 yes! yes!! YES!!!

  • joy inside my ears...

  • @apieroR It took him THREE YRS to make this masterpiece

  • @apieroR amen!

  • Thank GOD you can always go back and listen to REAL MUSIC and a true genius like Stevie! It just lets you know you tthat he music industry of today is so full of many non-talented folks and that they really don't have a clue what longevity means. Music like this will live on forever. This was recorded over 30 years ago and it still sounds good!!! Better than the most of the music today . . . .

  • The late, great german shepherd Nadine was put to sleep with this song playin'- as the vet administered the fatal shot- tears? you could'nt get more outta me if you tried.

  • @GDMAZ ..sorry for your loss man..there's nothing worse than losing your most loyal friend..

  • @GDMAZ i have a pomeranian i know the love you feel!! sorry for your loss!!

  • timeless..masterpiece

  • You know what brings me to tears. It's just reading all the comments on here, and all the other Stevie songs, and feeling that community that he has created through his music and love and the feeling of hope that is implied in our appreciation for what his music means. Keep believing, people. Don't give up on your hearts. Love is the truer than anything. "Let's all sing someday sweet love will reign throughout this world of ours! Let's start singing of love from our hearts."

  • @adipsous i feel ya love is a POWERFUL FORCE..<3 :)

  • @adipsous ツ‏✌

  • @adipsous GOD BLESS YOU! IF EVERYBODY THOUGHT LIKE YOU WE WOULD HAVE OUR HEAVEN RIGHT HERE ON EARTH. BUT SOME OF US HAVE TO OPEN UP OUR MINDS BEFORE WE CAN OPEN UP OUR HEARTS. ALWAYS KEEP THE FAITH.YOU ARE BLESSED.STEVIE CAN SEE THAT FOR SURE.

  • Wine curtains ;-)

  • Stevie Wonder is a pure professional!!

  • one of my favorites of this incredible album!!!!!

  • If you can't feel this, then I feel sorry for you!

Stevie Wonder is a genius! Pure, straight to the point and without question!

  • He the man!!!

  • I am a 37yr old black woman and tonight is the very first time I heard this song. It was released 35 yrs ago! I luv it. Can't believe I never heard a note of it before. Heard it on a radio station.

  • Just letting you know that just about 1 out 100 people have such poor vision that they accidentally hit the the thumbs down instead of the volume icon. So that's why you always end up sending at least some thumbs down on essentially perfect videos that can't possibly deserve a negative response of any kind.

Just remember that next time you see a handful of thumbs downs on any of your favorite videos, ok? : ) If it's 1 out 100 ratio then those thumbs downs aren't real.

  • This is one of my all time favorites hands down! I remember i 1st heard it and just start crying for no reason. There's only so many songs i can just leave on repeat...and this is one of them!

  • God I love this song! Be blessed Grandma!!!!!!!!! I hope you can hear this!!!

  • divine

  • I die for you Wonder! So sensitive an artist could be.

  • Beautiful!

  • No, Ms Tracie, I'm just saying that compared to the songs he hears now, there is not a song in his ipod that would even compare to this piece of music- which is music by a musician that can play an instrument- most of what i hear kids listening to is dirty nursery rhymnes, and no musical talent in sight.

  • My son was born to this song! I thought it was the perfect way to introduce him to the world. He always looks at me like I'm crazy when I cry to this song and chase him for kisses & hugs. He now admits when I almost died last year that this song helped him. Thanks Stevie! My son is going to be 13 yo. And It took me 3 days to have him. I played this album at least 150 times!

  • @MsTracie He needs to listen to this...and ask him what song he thinks makes sense.

  • @GDMAZ What are you saying? Do you mean, does he understand the context or meaning behind the song? Or are you saying the song doesn't make sense? Or something like that?

  • My grandma just died. I was crying to this a week before her death. It says it all.

  • amazing♥

  • whats that song where he kinda mumbles along with a soloish thing?

  • sempre emozionante....

  • This guys is not music, that's the truth, the human being exposed to you, pure emotion and Joy

  • My older brother used to play this song alot. I miss him so much. R.I.P. Bubby

  • mary Kearns

  • One of the best albums ever recorded...by anyone!

  • Met a beautiful woman after along and ugly divorce. I was in 8th grade when this album was released and I finally have a face to this jam, love it

  • AIE AIE AIE DE LA CREME CE MORCEAU AVEC CETTE MUSIQUE TU AIMES TOUTS LES FEMMES AU MONDE MAGIC SUBLIME STEVIE

  • This makes me think of my grandma. She wants to die! She has Alzheimer's and has stopped eating and talking. I'm not close to her, but when she came to Memphis she was very sane and talking. Now I can't say anything to her, because she won't respond. I miss the few months we had!!! Now I don't know who she is! I don't know what to do, but this song makes me think of her sooo much!!! I just wish she would say something before she DIES!!! I"m soo sad!!

  • @regester75 You can still talk to her.some part of her can still hear you. Sorry for the pain but you can still share some small time with your Grandmother.

  • @SunSurfer777 Thank you for the beautiful words. My grandmother passed on Sunday, September 18, 2011, at 1530. Unfortunately...She was alone. My mother, brothers, and I were working. She died in St. Francis Hospital Nursing Home, Memphis, TN. But Although I'm really sad; I know it was the best thing to happen for her. She was suffering really badly. I just thought that you should know.

  • @regester75 Do yourself a favour- play this song, sit back and think of the time you had with her...have a good cry

and there will also be tears of joy streaming down your cheeks.

  • @GDMAZ

There were. I'm soo glad I can share this song with so many people about my Grandma! I'm sad but sooo Happy!

  • @regester75 All the best to you and your family, and may your grandmother rest in peace and radiance.

  • @SunSurfer777 thank you! Her funeral was a celebration of life!

  • yup

  • LOVE THIS SONG AND ALL IM PUERTORICAN BUT LIKE THIS MUSISIC

  • Love this song. It has me in awe!!!

  • Today's 'stars',listen to the Master, then WEEP! I only ever bought 1 SW album,& it was this one, back when it was released in '76.I'd just started my 1st job on leaving school & I saw the album in the window of the music shop opposite where I worked,& had to have it! I played the vinyl until it was scratched beyond 'repair',much to the pleasure of my mother, lol.

  • I had to put my dog to sleep back in 1996 and this song was on the radio as the vet administered the lethal injection- I cried then just as i do now when I hear this song...

thanks Nadine, you gave me a second chance at life.

  • Thank God for Mr. Stevie Wonder!!!! He is Godsend and there will never be another musical genious like him.

  • @MrDrew5775 There are 9 ppl on their way to hell

  • @MrDrew5775 its the truth!

  • @hapzap13 Say it again, they didn't hear you... Stevie's a genius.

  • Another beauty! Thanks Stevie

  • JOY INSIDE MY TEARS FOR LIFE, PLEASE BABY.

  • @SurgeryDoLL I like this more than ISN'T SHE LOVELY

  • @dal4018 me too..This song is just Perfection. God bless Stevie Wonder and the Music.

  • @SurgeryDoLL Thanks this album still sells at the same price it did in the 70's.

  • This has always been a very powerful song to me - from the very first time I heard it. Thank you for posting it.

  • "Many years ago, but not so long ago, there were those who said, 'Well, you have three strikes against you: You're Black, you're blind and you're poor.' But God said to me, 'I will make you rich in the spirit of inspiration, to inspire others as well as create music to encourage the world to a place of oneness and hope and positivity.' I believed Him and not them." - Stevie Wonder

  • @fireiciclespark it's a cool quote, even if I'm an atheist. It's good to be alive!

  • What ever happened to real mechanical instrumental music play like is heard in this song? Moog synthesizers, organs, keyboards, bass play, etc is where you got your original creative sound and its impossible to get that same result when music today depends so heavily on just "sampling" from the great hits of yesteryear. If there were no lyrics here I believe this song would still hold its own with just the smooth musical composition. Yesteryears artists were true students of their craft

  • @summersbr1 Music hasn't changed, and there are arguably more talented musicians out there now than ever. It's just that good music is no longer in the spotlight. Why? Because there are more untrained ears than ever as well. Why should MTV put something good up when they can put crap up and make millions more on it?

Children now buy music frequently. This didn't use to be the case. Quit living in the past. Get off your ass and find some good modern bands. They do exist. Trust me.

  • @CK3890, to say music hasnt changed is probably the biggest understatement i've heard so far. The fact that you have to search for it is the greatest indication of that change. I'm sure with some real blood, sweat and tears i could find something out there worth listening to. Many radio stations have gone cold or change their forums because "listenership" is low for what is deemed music today. I agree music does cater to an undiscriminate young audience for sheer profit................

  • @summersbr1 Music hasn't changed. Popular taste in music has.

  • @CK3890 agree; there's also too much mental laziness and a lack of musical curiosity, people let music industry tell them what they have to like

  • @CK3890 music hasent changed in 1000's of years...same 12 notes

  • @MrGriffitz The modern 12 tone equal temperament was developed in the 1500s and perfected by J.S. Bach, so music theory has changed a bit in the western world. There are other types of music though, for example, Indian music has quarter tones, not half tones. It's called swar.

  • @CK3890, I dont live in the past but the present sure leaves a ton to be desired and i surely dont feel the need to embark on a journey for music as if i'm on some crazy treasure hunt. More talented muscians today?? I doubt that seriously. The music you call good cant even get itself mainstream thats why you speak of "looking for it". The few nice songs out there is surrounded by a larger pool of musical crap

  • @summersbr1 It's not a journey. Search the internet for stuff you already like, and most likely you'll find new music that's inspired by that music. EASILY more talented musicians nowadays. The world population is growing at an exponential rate. Good music can get mainstream, it's just rarer because theres also a lot more untalented musicians and untrained children who just want to hear pop. And you just said a few nice songs are out there. This contradicts your original comment.

  • all those flats and bumpy bits mmmmmm!

  • This the Key of life!!

  • "I'v always felt that tomorrow is for those who aren't to much afraid to go past yesterday and start living for today"

that one lin always chokes me up, exactly what i need to do!

  • Music at it's best!!!!!!!!

  • My Dad has just died, this song makes me feel really warm. Thanks Stevie!

  • @alexskylarking I'm so sorry for your loss.....Please stay strong and even though it's easier said than done but keep smiling.

  • @Moog167 Thanks for the kind words. ;-)

  • @alexskylarking Praying for you & may U find comfort in these words...From one who has had many losses in this Life...your Father was a Gift to U as U are a Gift to him & to those who Love U....carry his message of Life to all others, U now carry his "Mantle" & He will look down upon U from Heaven Smiling & Proud of his Son still here on Earth...GOD Bless U & he Loves U Forever!

  • @alexskylarking so sorry to hear that...

    god rest your father xx

  • @TopTenCrew wow! you heartless son of a bitch. Be a man and tell me where you live.

  • @TopTenCrew I would love you to say that to my face. Are you really man enough. You have a father and one day he will die.

Then you will know my pain you sick motherfucker

  • @TopTenCrew Dude What is your problem? Does it make you feel good insulting a stranger who has recently lost his father? You dad will die someday and you will feel the same pain I have. Why are you doing this? Do you really enjoy this, its obvious you do. You really are a sick fuck, get some help.

  • @TopTenCrew Whatever troll, I really don't care, do it.

  • @alexskylarking you'll see him again sweetheart ...be blessed

  • @alexskylarking I know what cha mean. I remember this song n '83 when my great-grandmother died. It just was somethin' about this cut I couldn't put my finger on, but, it was soothin' as ever. My favorite song on the album, & that's sayin' a whole lot.

  • @sugasweetish .. Jesus died so that we may have life, and live abundantly. Honey, He can turn your mourning into joy! He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.I'm sharing my heart with you, love, because it's all I know that gets me through my darkest hours. I hope this little nugget helps build your faith and pray for a great, divinely directed turnaround for your life. Now would be a good time to get with you faith-believing friends for strength. Be blessed. =)

  • I love this song soooo much!!!

  • The best lyric from this song is when he say that I have always felt that tommorrow are for those who are too afraid to go past yesterday and start living for today

  • Ils repassent ce slow là en boite, comme à mon époque et ça marche.........Je parle par expérience et amour de stevie wonder

  • @Oosusanna Thank you for a wonderful post. Sometimes i feel crushed by the world and when i hear this song and read your comment i feel much better.

  • A transcendental life-force, a spiritual entity, we are so graciously blessed with having Stevie Wonder among us for so very long. His music is eternal and his passion for rhythym is his gift for us all. The Most High, in His infinite wisdom, created this man to walk with us & we are so appreciative of you, Stevie. There truly is 'Joy Inside My Tears' whenever I listen to this tune. Peace always, peoples

  • The Maestro thank you so much for being you and giving us so much of your talent and yourself. We love you now and forever.

  • probably his greates album....and that's saying alot.......

  • stevie was really ahead of his time. Im glad hes stil around

  • Stevie Wonder has given wonderfully and a lot joy inside my tears... Through all my life, since I was a little girl. Music really can make you believe. In God or in people or in yourself... In this world which seems to be in terrible chaos and sometimes puts one really down and can take away all hope. And beautiful music such as Stevie Wonder´s brings it back!!! Oh boy! ;-D

  • When I was young Man I head this album hundreds times. Now I am 61 and listen it with the same pleasure and joy.Thank You very much Dear Steve !

  • @gregfinejazz I remember going to the mall with a friend of mine in '76. He had heard a cut - don't remember which one. He bought the cassette, stuck it in and we were completely blown away. That never changes when you hear it.

  • @Bamaboompa Is this song you heard in '76

  • @dal4018 Well, I looked it up on Wikipedia.

The first cut is "Love's in Need of Love Today" followed by "Have a Talk with God".

By the time we finished listening to "Sir Duke" we were completely blown away.

And I don't know if it was the times, or just the people I knew, but everyone seemed to be so much more into music back then. Before texting & xbox, we could hang out for a few hours and listen to ALBUMS!!!.

No way my kids do that today.

  • @Bamaboompa You shouid take your children on a journey into the past and let them know what you did in your youth. You would be surprised as to what children would want to know.

  • @Bamaboompa It's hard to get into music today when the music isn't that good anymore. But, who's going to be as great as Stevie?

  • @zayzkidd that right so true. How going to be great a Stevie, the Arch angle of music.

  • THE MAN HAS MORE SIGHT THAN ANY OF US, TRULY THIS MAN IS A ANCIENT GOD REINCARNATED INTO THIS LOWLY EARTH PLANE, ARE WE NOT THE BLESSED ONES TOV WALK ,TALK AND HEAR THESE GODS AMEN

  • I was 14 when this came out, and I played this album every day after school for about 9 weeks straight. Not a weak joint on the entire album. Stevie is one of my favorite songwirters of all time, along with Smokey Robinson and Alicia Keys.

  • One of the most beautiful, moving songs ever. Stevie's vocal on this is remarkably sensitive and expressive. You have to just let this song *happen* to you. Sit back, listen.. wait for the epic outro. If you don't feel moved, you're not human. One of The Maestro's best moments ever.

  • @BassByTheBay I feel you.I tear up everytime I hear this song.

  • I LOVE this SONG:D

  • I love this song it warms the heart

  • I have always LOVED Stevie Wonder. One of the GREATEST talents of all-time!!!!

  • i just lost my brother last month and this song helps me cope with my sadness...i cant help but smile while i listen to this..thank you, mr wonder......

  • @imissfreaknik Stevie can cheer you up when you are down and bring a tear to your eye..he has genius knack of telling a story through his songs pure genius hope RIP your brother

  • @leestlawrence Stevie Wonder isn't dead!

  • si tu n'aimes pas tu ne t'aimes pas

  • for sweet Emily - R>I>P> baby

  • @shrew972 Sorry for your loss.

  • Stevie's talking some heavy lyrics here that the "others" (youngstas) don't have a clue. He opened my eyes to LIFE and to LOVE!!!

  • Someone plz tell me the album name

  • @monkeysead Songs in the Key of Life

  • I remember when I was about eight or nine years old when I first heard Stevie Wonder album it was on eight tracks then and when my mom would leave I would sneak and play this album . thanks for the memories saving it to my own playlist

  • Back when I was a 15 year old listening anything that was loud and fast, I had the good sense to choose this as my favorite song from an album full of excellent songs. It surprised my mother when I told her that....and it surprises me now that it still catches my ear (and heart) just like the very first time I heard it.

  • I fell in love with my wife to this song.

  • This song is fabulous!! Now you see why he was named Wonder. His albums have proven that he is extremely musically talented, so it is safe to also name him “King of Music”.

  • @1979hahn What does being a "white guy" have to do with you liking this album? If I recall correctly, music is supposed to transcend race, gender, age, etc...
