6FS were among my musical revelations in the early 90s. Must have saw them 5 or 6 times between '93-'98. First time was at the Shellac "Pine Tar .406" show when they were still a 5-piece after "The Pigeon ...". They all wore baseball outfits and were made up like the Baseball Furies from "The Warriors". A few of the among my greatest ever. An amazing combo of punk, electro-synth and The Birthday Party. They coulda been huge nowadays if they weren't all smack addicts at one point.
That's a really great song. The live prison version fucking rocks too! Is there another version on a full length album of theirs? Thanks for posting this vid.
The 'live prison version' was actually recorded at the parlour, their own recording studio and the whole prison thing was both a joke and their tribute to Johnny Cash. James (bass player) explained this to me at the Mercury Paw (louisville). No other version exists.
