Actually, you can put Anora on the throne without causing Alistair to wander off drunk...if you execute Loghain.

However, if you put Anora on the throne without Alistair, and you DON'T execute Loghain, Alistair gets so pissed off at the Warden for letting live the man who framed the Wardens and left Cailan to die that Alistair storms out on his/her party for good...and turns up later drunk in bars.

Same here. I actually find his eyes far more beautiful in Origins than II. They were more defined. But it seems like everything is softened and blurred in II, compared to the sharpness of Origins. It's like instead of perfecting facial rendering, they took the digital equivalent of the vaseline-on-camera-lens approach.

If you paid attention to his dialogue in DA1, he basically admitted that he used to get drunk in the bars goofing off because he was too low on the totem pole to get assigned any real duties. Heck, its the reason why he let you (the player) be the leader in DA1 even though he had seniority.

@Koptfoeva i had fun with it, i found the gameplay in DA2 a lot better then DA Origins.

What was disappointing was the world environments. All the mansions/caves/sewers/back alleys/etc used the same damn layouts. About 80% of the game taking place in Kirkwall wasn't great either.

I cant think of a single time in DA Origins where a map layout was used more then once. Awakening did a few times but it was just for a few side quests. DA2 however, the level design team should be fired.

All the reused environments just makes you wanna bang your head on the table after realizing your in the same cave for the 10th time, only difference being that some paths are closed off so you only have to explore a "part" of the same cave again.

Honestly though, I blame EA since they're involved with Bio-ware now. Everything falls apart when EA gets involved. Just look at what happened to the C&C series.
