  • down, they whole weight of the dumbell or barbell, is always on the chest for the whole set. i personally think its best to do full reps but im not as big as dexter so fair play to him if it works

  • No need to be confused. Ronnie, Jay, Dexter, etc. have something we don't, namely steriods, growth hormone, insulin, and other stuff. When you take as much "juice" as the pros do you can grow with half reps or even quarter reps as one video of Brandon Curry shows. He has a ton of weight on the leg press, but he does only quarter reps, pathetic. At least Ron Coleman does 3/4 reps w/tons of weight on the leg press.

  • @c41man u clearly dont understand what the steroids do- they dont make you grow faster (directly anyway) they help your body recover much faster meaning that you can wreck your body more- if you took the time to watch jay and dexters vids you'd see that they generally do 6-10 reps- about as much as a non steroid user would do.

  • i am confused... watching all these videos of the best training: Ronnie, Jay, and Dexter, doesn't it seem to anyone that their form is garbage? They do half reps, sometimes even quarter reps, yet they are MONSTERS... they must be doing something right... what is it? are we wrong for doing full reps? full form?

  • @AnimaleVitale yeah i noticed that aswell and tried it in the gym myslef. i think they dont go the full way up or the full way down (like you said) because their muscles are too big aha. sounds stupid but if he let the dubells down to his chest on incline (for example) it wouldnt be the whole way down anyway and would still have more of a bend in his arm than most would who arent as big. also by not going the full way up or

  • @AnimaleVitale there is no point in doing full reps...the muscle only needs a certain amount of movement....I gained a shit load of wieght this year by doing reps like the pros....for years i was all about the full range and i was wrong....

    1RM is for strength training, for volume u should consider using around 70% of ur 1RM weight,, and do 12-10-8 reps, wich also changes per workout
