The Founding Fathers were all geniuses. They managed to write a document that is still relevant today. If only, by some miracle, they could have accounted for capitalism. But why the hell are Reagan, Beck, and Paul in here?
Our countrymen and women are too afraid to think for themselves and basically ask for a larger government to do the well thought out decision making for them. WE THE PEOPLE should have our government by the balls not the other way around. Fuck the central government, fuck the fed and give the power back to the states. The Bill of Rights, Declaration or Independence and the Constitution are now just ornaments in a museum and a small whisper to us and there is nothing sadder.
From a working class kid too: There are people speaking in a very divisive, 'us against them' manner. Example: at CPAC, Steve King from Iowa called progressive Americans 'our enemies', because they have a different ideas on the best way to solve America's challenges. Roads, public schools, libraries and national parks are all something we use, and aren't 'socialist'. I get tired of people trying to demonize the left, or right, because they don't agree with their problem solving methods.
America is based on a philosophy and founding documents (bill of rights/declaration of independence/constitution). If someone doesn't believe in these things, then they are the enemey. It might be theocracy, communism, fascism, or whatever, all of these things are the same, government owning and controlling your life. It doesn't work as well as freedom.
Civilization cant exist without some level of socialism, but we're already past the maximum amount tollerable, we need less socialism not more.
@ punkdragon and @ andychrist916: We all have opinions for a reason, and it's too bad a Patriotic song is motivating us to bicker, but that can has already been opened up:
The problem I have is the claim "Obama is out to control your life!". There is no evidence of it, and by saying it doesn't provide logical or objective analysis of the political situation (power and choice). Now, if you said mandating people to buy insurance is unconstitutional, that illustrates a good point.
I wouldn't say Obama's out there to control your life, but the policies he's enforcing have a very strong possibility of doing just that in his hands or in others hands.
Great vid Pukedragon. I'm really glad to see another libertarian styled Oi Punk. I have to say Glenn Beck seems to lean a bit more towards the neo con side if you ask me.
MLK (hero), Reagan(asshole), Howard Zinn(genius), and Glenn Beck(alarmist pussy) shoved together as if they had anyting in common? You are full of shit, Pukedragon. Pick a side you fake.
theres only two sides. People who want to help america, and people who want to harm america. The very act of thinking that Reagan and MLK would be on opposite sides shows what side your on. The side that wants to divide people up by skin color and class.
wrong. nice try bud. Dont try to make me out to be a racist or whatever. I like your vids, chances are we know each other but Glenn Beck and Ronald Reagan have no place next to Great Minds like Zinn and MLK. These men represent two different schools of thought. On one hand you have Right-wing Imperialist Talking Heads. Trained to tow the party line and do as they're told. On the other hand (the left hand?) you have 2 geniuses who shook up the world and spoke for those without a voice.
it's not a racism in that you hate people based on their skin color, but wanting a sepperate set of standards for people based on skin color is still racism and the exact opposite of anything MLK (a republican and conservative) ever would have wanted. Reagan was a great president. How many wars did we fight under him? 0 Instead of full blown invasion, you just kill the bad guys and make quick strikes. Saving millions of lives. I admit that Beck cries too much cuz he's a sissy, still right.
why are you so fixated on race/skin color? BTW the republican/conservative of the 1960's was an elephant of a completely different color. Reagan gave weapons to terrorists as well. the war machine thunders on under clinton, reagan bush's 1 and 2. Reagan shoulders a lot of the blame regarding de-regulation which led us into our current economic crisis. What else you got?
Just for the record, it was the "evil" right wing who freed the slaves. And you'll never guess which party has a senator who was once a member of the KKK. And as far as "Trained to tow the party line and do as they're told." Better take your head out of your ass pal, and look is what happening on this day (3/17/10).
We had this same argument during the Bush years about constitutionality of the Patriotic Act and tax cuts for the rich as robbing the poor for the rich to get richer. I would prefer competent, smart talking heads to fear mongering conspirators like Beck or name calling cynical dicks like Olbermann. People just need to be objective and think about the evidence. The problem with Beck is he makes statements without fact checking (at all) and someone is going to commit an assassination 'cause of it.
This video is better everytime I watch it. The founding fathers, their quotes, mixed in with our greatest minds and explorers, is great...everyone but Glen Beck. Reagan is 1/2 okay (union buster). Ron Paul is okay.l
i don't think reagan was a union buster as he's painted. You can't force companies to remain open if the workers won't work. Glen Beck also gets a bad rap. Instead of taking in his whole message people take little snippets and clips and place them out of context.
Politics aside, does Pressure Point do many other Patriot songs? I have to admit I haven't heard their songs much. Another good Hardcore group from Seattle is the Poverty Bay Saints, I think they have performed with Pressure Point.
In my opinion, Glenn Beck tends to be a raving loon. However, a few weeks ago he did a piece about choosing one set of "radicals," the patriots of the Revolution, or the socialist movement that's going on today. I damn near cried, and then I damn near punched my TV out of shame at the things going on today. Only fourteen I am, it's a pity I can't get up and tell everyone how much we need to stop this brainwashing of America. I love the country and don't want to see it go down. Not in my time.
i think beck speaks the truth, but he does it in a very loud and off the wall style. Socialism sounds nice, really it does, but it just doesn't work as well as freedom. One think i think most people don't get is freedom means no one is going to take care of you, you have to do it yourself. No one should have the government take money from them to give it to someone else. Ever. Not in America.
Exactly. One thing that my father said absolutely cracked me up the other day, we were discussing the new Micheal Moore film, and my dad said something about how in a socialist economy, Micheal Moore would be the guy sitting around not doing his part and taking everyone else's piece of pie. The human element is what messes it up. In a perfect world, socialism would work brilliantly, but it isn't a perfect world. There will always be the people that will cheat the system and ruin it for others.
Awesome video, great music. Thanks for representing truth and all who fight for it, no matter which side, we still need two wings to fly.

more of their songs are about unions and workers and skinheads than patriotic stuff.
