@concealedknight Well, there's no way of knowing whether 9/11 would or wouldn't have happened under a Gore presidency, but I could almost assure you Gore would have never attacked Iraq (which, again, had nothing to do with the attacks). He also would have never implemented the 1.5T in tax cuts of the then-government surplus - his plan was to take the surplus and invest in education, energy, and infrastructure.
I have this tape and the first called it for Gore. The problem is every network including Fox News used flawed exit polling . Even when the called it for Gore they showed the real numbers coming in and Bush was way ahead in Florida. Later every network changed it to Bush .
thank god that bush won. i dont know where this country would be if gore had been elected. in this election neither party chose a great candidate but at least a republican won. and by the way when bush was president the unemployment rate was at 5.8% in 2008 and in 2009 when obama was president it rose to 10.8%. think wisely when voting in 2012
@jbfootballkid 5.8? More like between 7.8-8.0. Who's been feeding you this crap? And what about the year of 2010 and halfway through 2011 when it was at 9.1. It even went all the way down as low as 8.7 until it started rising back up again.
@jbfootballkid ummm unemployment rate wasn't at 5.8% in 2008. If Gore was our 43 President There wouldn't been a terrorist attack on 9/11, no war in Iraq, health care for all, gas prices low, no stock market crash, no forecloses on houses, unemployment would be at least under 3%, Surplus would be $15 Trillion at least, and Joe Liberman would be our 44th President right now, (1st Jewish President).
They might have called it a little early but they were right. Al Gore carried Florida. It was made clear in March 2001 that Al Gore won. If they did that during the big controversy Al Gore would have became president. If Al Gore was president in 08 instead of Bush President Obama wouldn't have to be cleaning up all the republican's crap. We also would have never heard of Sarah Falin.
Just too bad. America would have been so much stronger economically, and so much safer as they wouldn't have gone into at least not Iraq, and the world would have solved the climate change debate, guaranteed.
CBS and CNN both called Florida for Al Gore as soon as the polls closed, because IT WASN'T EVEN CLOSE in the State...
...until Jeb Bush and Katherine Harris attached the names of 20,000 to 90,000 black voters to the names of felons in the State of Texas, and deemed them "SUSPECT VOTERS" and purged their names from the final tally.
Even despite that Gore still would have won Florida if you gave him back the NEGATIVE-16,000 votes he got on one machine in Florida.
AL GORE SHOULD HAVE BEEN PRESIDENT he would have been better then Clinton or Obama, George Bush Ruined the International Reputation of the United States, and allowed numerous bills to lack government oversite on Wall Street which destroyed this country
@dogeymon83 im a republican for the most part, but to deny global warming is dumb... almost worse than believing In God. anyone who knows of struggle, war and the real world knows God does not exist.
@ApprenticeOfAnubis - believing humans are causing it is dumb and evil. We don't man even 11 percent of the planet, and our contribution to CO2 is less than 4% when compared to natural resources, and CO2 is not even a significant greenhouse gas. The planet's weather is dependent largely on solar activity. And as for believing in an intelligent designer, that's more logical than believing we came from nothing.

Right. The pro-Democrat left-wing media hoped by calling Florida early for Gore that the voters on the western panhandle which is in the central time zone would just stay home and not vote -- thereby giving Florida to Gore. It didn't work. Republican voters did not buy the pro-Democrat party dishonesty and Gore got bounced. Thank God we didn't have that imbecile in the White House for 4 years. God Bless Bush! Yet I didn't agree with a lot of Bush's decisions - such as letting the dollars slip.
Okay, you're entitled to hate Bush as I hate Al Gore. But let's face it, Gore should've coasted to victory, instead he rested on his laurels. The only time Gore actually showed any passion for winning the election is when he and his cronies attempted to steal it by making trouble in Florida. It was Gore's election to lose - and he lost it! Couldn't win his own home-state of Tennessee, thought he had the south in his pocket, would't allow Clinton to campaign for him. Gore was the imbecile.
Let's face it. You have your head up your ass. Very rarely do vice presidents win the presidency. Before Bush 41, the last one to do so was Martin Van Buren. Gore was robbed of the presidency. Katherine Harris set a deadline while the courts were deciding whether or not a recount was viable knowing full well that it could not be completed. Bush won Florida's electoral votes with an incomplete voter tabulation. The south, including Tennessee, were NEVER EVER EVER in play outside of Florida
Hundreds of votes away from Gore, think about where we would be right now, NO WARS! Thank God Obama won, we really need a democrat, we always need a democrat.
How the hell did gore lose NH with that electoral vote map 2000???? If he'd won NH in 2000 not 2004 electoral map we wouldnt give a hoot about FL and especially TN.
I know, bluest state ever and it really is their fault. Can you imagine how many people regret voting bush in NH, or just in the U.S., people weren't even thinking, they saw bush and they said okay.
What most ppl dont realize is that NH was one of the most Republican (NOT however, conservative) states in the union. New England used to be dominated by socially liberal, fiscally conservative "Rockefeller" Republicans for years. As the Republican party drifted further to the right, particularly on social issues, they alienated this portion of the country. Clinton only eeked out 2 wins here thanks to Perot. Gore's better chance was winning his home state, Tennessee (crazy as it sounds!!).
I couldn't agree more monkfan14. I still don't know how the hell the jackass was in the White House 4 more year's. The 2004 election was so fixed. Kerry was ahead in the exit poll's in FL by 5% points. How the hell he lost it, just does not add up.
@monkfan14 do you still feel that way. By the way look at american history. We had a democrat president at the start of every war aside form The Gulfs.
@monkfan14 yes ur right. that way the government will eventually pay for everything. welfare, medicaid and food stamps will reach astronomical figures. americans will stop working so hard because- why should they? they r working hard n getting the same as people who lay on their couch all day. now the hard workers will work less effectively, the welfare people will do even less till eventually everyone does nothing but put in a minimal effort. socialism at its finest. vote blue n keep ur money
What happened was the networks called Florida before the polls closed in the far western part of the state. Most of Florida is in the Eastern Time Zone, while the far western part is in the Central Time Zone. This results in the polls closing an hour later in the far western part of Florida than the rest of the state.

Al Gore is a fraud, and is the biggest phony you could ask for.
Take a look at his global warming hoax, his carbon credit scam, his hypocrisy, and his poor acting. He sounds, looks, and is a LOSER!!
Right now, I think most Americans would take Bush back for a third time if they could.
