I grew up in Tsawwassen, late seventies nineteen eighty, was a little kid of 8 or 9 and 54/40 rehearsed next door to my best friends house. One of the first bands I was into as a tween and still listen to as an adult.
With as many great songs as these guys have...This one is so easily my favourite. I.M.O. The best anti-war song in the history of Rock and Roll. I've done a drum/vocal cover of I GO BLIND, I'm working on ONE DAY IN YOUR LIFE, Then comes ONE GUN.
WMG...killed them...that's who should be fired...so sad to bury ppl's chance to give the word of mouth this band deserves by silencing the videos made in the past...you know i can't watch the original vid...it's a shame because it helps but things in historical perspective...but thank you for this vid...;)
Saw them July 1, 2007 for Canada day at Canada Place Vancouver and again on July 1, in Surrey Exhibition Grounds...I always loved this song and baby have some faith and there are other great songs, never deny their stage presence, theya re so great.
Hey to all you 54-40 fans, they are playing a free show at shorefest on July 29, 2009 at English Bay, come on out and enjoy the show and the fire wroks after they play...Oh by the way i want to be in the fronty, so i am goin g to be there all nite...lol...lmfao...But defitely will be there and fget a front of stage view...as always..
This band was one of the best live shows I have ever seen.....even though it has been years, I still remember how great they were......it was a GREAT time.
5440 are the most underrated band around. I think they must have shun the limelight, or didn't play the bullshit markerting game, because they should be superstars and common knowledge. I'm amazed at how much they are overlooked in Canada. Terrible. Especially considering the shit we export like nickleback and celine dion. There is no accounting for taste. Hootie and the Blowfish are better known for stealing their song and doing a shitty version of it.
