The idea behind the stila palette is you start in the middle and follow the path in between the black plastic and go all the way to the blush and that's supposed to be a full look. If you try that they won't seem so scattered.(:

Really big fan of pixi glad you like them! Addicted to their illuminating tint and conceal. Also have little pallette stacks of theirs that have everything you need, including a creamy bronzer I was obsessed with. Only problems their price, I look for sales on their website

i love how she said that the stila one was cheap so maybe it looks like something that a 5 year old might have but she likes one that was even cheaper made - the one made out of cardboard! :P  i do like her videos but she does seem to think that its not cool if you dont spend a billion dollars for makeup its not worth anything!!!! Smashbox has a QVC exclusive for about $100 and it has ALL of their trios along with their brow powders and their best selling blushes. It's amazing looking and folds down to about as large as that Pixi palette. If I needed another palette, I would go for that one.

Also, that Too Faced palette has some amazing colors in it. The packaging is a bit elaborate, but the duochrome colors are pretty unique, so it may be worth checking out at Sephora as well.

Just a note on the Stila palette and the colors being mixed up... they're grouped together and coordinated so when you start with the blush and "swirl" inward, the blush and all of the eye shadows following it coordinate together.

For the sweet dreams pallete by too faced, I love it!!! Teddy Bear is my favorite. I am so fair that is perfect for a crease color on me. And I love the bronzer on me. I want to buy my mom one, I love the Tarte packaging, but not the quality of the shadows, and like you said the blush is shimmery. What would you suggest for a mom of 3 that just turned 41. She just lost a ton of weight, and still is loosing. I just want to treat her to high end make up. I have everything but the eyeshadow!

@thezebrastripe89 I am part Italian too. Let me tell you that (at least for me) my eyebrows have the same shape and tend to have long hair follicles that can become unruly. I love her eyebrows and think they look perfect for her face shape. Plus if she had thicker eyebrows, they would weigh down her face and make her look older. Having thicker natural brows would take away focus from her beautiful eyes.

@MelroseLoves I'm part Italian too, And I understand exactly the long hair follicle issue. She could trim them down, it's a frequent practice for a lot of people. I think the shape is perfect, but they look a bit cartoonishly thin, and they don't look natural on her. Thicker/fuller eyebrows make you look younger, because it is common knowledge that your eyebrows thin when you get older. Her unnatural looking eyebrows detract from her eyes much more because it's obvious they are over-plucked.

I just know what it's like to be looking in the mirror all day long doing makeup stuff, your focus and perspective get's a little warped. I've overplucked before because I looked in the mirror at my eyes for too long. I'm not trying to diss her or make her feel bad, and there might be a ton of reasons why she has her brows that way, which I respect. Just giving some feedback, especially since she might not notice it :)

I just bought the Urban Decay naked palette and I think I'm going to take it back.... I'm going to test it out for 2 more days, but the colors fade sooo much! & I use primer, a primer that normally works. I'm really disappointed. Does anyone else know a cruelty free brand in sephora that has good shadows? because these aren't very good.

I bought the BIG Smashbox holiday set from QVC and it was over $80. It is glorious. Great for travel and has blush, tons of eyeshadows, the creamy eyeliners, etc. I use it every day even though I have TONS of other makeup.

It is so weird for me that you sitting at a Christmas tree right now - haha I know that each culture is different, but for us in Poland first day for Christmas tree is Christmas Eve and we keep the tree to February 2 nd. World is so interesting because of so many different traditions.
