plsplsplsplsplsplsplspls JOSCHO do us a favor, go play classic you don t have soul for this style ...... and fuck you who ever put this machine to play at samois
@andre3236 how can you improvize and not have soul? yes obviously some of this was a planned out solo. Even Django had set riffs and what not for each song.
Come on people, this is way more django than yngwie j malmstein stin stein however you spell it - is anyone listening? really - cuz if you are you will also notice he is lip synching or gtr synching, their playing to a recording-
good luck friend. for my part, i can't even imagine myself swinging that way.. don't know why, but i feel you got some quite nice level, am i wrong? anyway, i've also heard django's version, i forgot how much magic it was ..
well sir, with all my respect for your opinion, but i think you're a little too hard here!! ok django is the best because he's the first who really improved manouche swing guitar, but joscho is making honor to this style and deserves to be compared to django...
sure, you're right... i think, i'm not sure i'm right, that comparing django's style and joscho's way is more than a guitar discussion. it's all the difference between two generations. django was a true manouche personnality before having been a manouche guitar player, while joscho is only a german swing guitar player. there's nothing to compare. django has found swing in his soul, joscho found it easy to swing with his hands. ok!!! i'm talking nonsense.. i've better take a rest..
speed, speed, and more speed, something which Django utilized to full effect with good phrasing, fire, passion, and melodicism as well as excellent improv skills, but unfortunately this version is missing the right combination to make it breathe, sounds like Michael Angelo switched genres from Shred Metal to Jazz. Somewhat robotic. If someone's going to overplay they should do it with more feel, like Yngwie, to make it beautiful. Django's versions were/are always beautiful.
I agree with babysco, Ynwie is a joke...I'm not going to take anything away from the guy, i respect his talent...but that's as far as it goes for me...cough harmonic minor X1000
A soul-less machine. All flash, no art.

Thanks. Are you a Django fan, or do you just agree with me about Yngwie? Either way, if you don't like this version we're on the same wavelength.

I'm just guessing, but it seems to me that he might have played a guitar before, once or twice in his life!
