Actually, if you took out the dubstep parts, or made the dubstep more chill (in keeping with the atmospheric sound of the band) it would probably sound even more amazing.
Oh, just read your tags. As for pointers, when doing dubstep, if your building up to a drop, don't add the vocals or anything too melodic with the modulated bass. The dirtyness and power comes from the sudden transition from clean to dirty, and adding anything too melodic makes it too muddy and loses its power.
@audioengulf Thanks! And I use FL Studio. And thanks for the pointers too. I really didnt want to put the vox in the dubstep parts like i did, but i wasnt sure how else to fit the chorus in. do you think it would sound better if i just kind of cut up the chorus and sampled it in the dub parts?
Not too bad at all for your first mix. Don't get too into the modulated bass lines, however, because those can become overpowering and start sounding retarded. I liked the synths, though, the house feel is really nice.
