you know, the Re-Gz stands for Remake, Zeta Gundam
It's fast, agile, packed with enough rockets to blow up several dozens of ships, readied to be mass produced, and comes with a booster pack that is pretty much a set of anti-air cannons. so Yes, if Amuro actually played it very very seriously, and slugged a pair of funnels onto that thing, he coulda rolled everyone with just that thing alone.
although that thing really is a piece of shit that broke down too often.
@kevinlei92 Do you know that Christianity is correct? The world around us reveals that G-d DOES exist, and the historical evidence reveals that Jesus Christ really did come to this earth and there is overwhelming evidence that Jesus Christ really did physically rise from the dead. Jesus is coming again and the signs of the end times that were foretold in the Bible are coming to pass.
But I imagine that expense is the reason it was adopted so universally. ReZel doesn't seem to have a Bio-Sensor or anything like that so it costs less to manufacture.
As for the rookie noobs, Riddhe piloted a ReZel fairly well. He went up against Char/Frontal, so it's not really his fault that he got owned.
you know bio sensor = unstable = prototype psycho frame.... a psychic communication's frame is farless expensive than the fact that the suit comes with a movable frame and very powerful engines =___=
besides, they never canoically explained the biosensors in universe - this is rather disturbing and almost felt like tomino just threw it in there to troll viewers as ucual...
i think by the end of zeta he realized how much people like it, and decides that he should kill it before people milks the fuck out of it. that didn't work, he was forced to make a sequal, and then out of nowhere, half way through the shitty sequal, he was told that he could make a movie. and he was like, YESSSS. that shitty sequal suddenly became awesome, and the movie became something that will be remmebered for generations to come.
The irony is that all of Tomino's efforts to kill Gundam just made it darker and thus more likeable. Look at Victory for example. Darkest Gundam series ever, but it's also one of the best.
And at least Tomino can take solace in the fact that, while Gundam sells a helluva lot of toys, his anime and concept came first and it wasn't a cash grab, unlike Transformers.
look, just because a director has done well producing great work doesn't mean that we can trust him to make a good work for something he didn't create. Gundam will forever be tomino's creation. anything and everything is just fanboy work. now the degree of good in the fanboy work will be heavily attacked, if it is sub par as compared to CCA, then it fails, if it matches CCA, then it barely makes acceptable.
@kevinlei92 Not necessarily. Just because other directors didn't create Gundam, doesn't mean their work on it is invalid. Tomino may have been the dominant voice in Gundam but he wasn't solely responsible for making it what it was.
CCA was a good movie, and a good conclusion to the story started in Mobile Suit Gundam, but it's not perfect and CCA's mere existence doesn't invalidate other Gundam works. All of the UC OVAs were done by other directors and they were excellent.
@kevinlei92 I love Unicorn. I think that Banagher is about as angsty as all of Tomino's protagonists, perhaps even less so than Kamille. And, I'm ashamed to admit, they've swayed me with excellent visuals and Shuichi Ikeda.
War in the Pocket was really dark, not that I didn't like it, I did, but it was really dark. But I'd say that 08TH MS Team was probably the best (before Unicorn). 0083 started out well but ended up as a mess. One major plot hole and one plot twist ruined it.
the entire gundam universe is a mess, don't worry, it all works out off screen. there are a lot of people that don't know things, and they do shit just the same. its fine.
but links... that boy is a kira clone... the only person so far to epic fail properly at talking to girls on the other side is kamille, and nobody in hell should follow his foot steps, i'm talkign to you jadua, why you talk to haman!
@kevinlei92 But you see, one fatal flaw of 0083 is Nina's relationship with Gato. The love plot was obviously a last minute addition that lead to Nina doing some stupid shit near the end that basically killed it for many otherwise fans of the OVA.
People said that Banagher was like Kira, but I don't think that's a fair comparison. Kira actively chooses to fight and then complains about fighting. Banagher doesn't really do that, he's sucked into battle and has a valid excuse.
@kevinlei92 Does Kira talk too much? I never got that. At least I never thought he talked more than most other Gundam protagonists. He certainly talked way more than Heero Yuy or Chang Wufei from Wing, but that cause they're supposed to be strong silent types.
Dialogue seems to drive the action in Unicorn. Cause it's only six hour long episodes, they have to be economical with the amount of battle scenes, so dialogue has to be interesting and fairly frequent. Hence Shuichi Ikeda.
we can now be certain that when ever they try to homeage the original series, they will fail. as long as they stick to using their brains and make really awesome badguys, all is good.
this animation should be used to make mobile suit gundam char's counterattack beltorchika's children movie

Eh, the ReGz is generally considered a failure, which is why Anaheim Electronics abandoned it so quickly in favor of the superior ReZEL

@MegaloSaro
ReZel however, were given to rookie noobs who can't pilot for shit. as seen in unicorn.

@kevinlei92 Proving its success. The fact that they gave it everybody meant that it was efficient, unlike its predeccessor.

expense! price! the only thing keeping UC back

surprisingly, the newb directors' attempts to flandarize the gundam franchise has thus far proven themselves to fail very hard at life.
