I'd say the strategy was to genetically exterminate the Iraqi Arabs. The "collaterol damage" in that strategy was a percentage of American/allied troops being genetically damaged also. I believe birth defects are starting to occur in the US and Britain from service-people parents.

@willspar2 Soldiers are just tools. Thats why they are called soldiers. The International Atomic Energy Agency website clearly states that there is no such thing as a safe dose of radiation. I believe the scientist and their research on radiation than some guy on youtube who would use depleted uranium on human beings. Would you like it if someone used depleted uranium on you? Depleted Uranium's radioactivity levels are far below the threshold of danger (you get exposed to more cosmic background radiation every day from antimatter hitting the atmosphere). DU is fairly toxic (as are most heavy metals, such as lead), but just don't shave it off or eat it and you'll be fine.

Thank God they are finally reporting on Depleted Uranium. It's about time. There are 325,000 disabled veterans from Desert Storm. By the year 2000, 11,000 are dead. Thousands of medical records disappeared of those soldiers who had Gulf War Syndrome. They couldn't receive disability without the proof that the illness was war related. Christopher Shay R-CT had hearings on the GWS & they concluded that treatment & disability be given w/ or w/out their medical rec. There's been a cover up.
