This was the first version of this song I heard, so Freda Payne's was a shock to my ears. Oddly enough, I was perfectly fine with Belinda Carlisle singing it.

its surprising where great music found....I first heard heard this song while
in a German Army bar on a German Army Base!!!! Just proves that music
does not passports or translators.
