I can't understand why arguments regarding the 3000GT come down to speed. What makes it the better car in most situations is appearance and concept. Any car can be made faster--that's not what the 3000 is about. It's an engineering triumph that was made to be worthy of exotic performance and appearance without the price-tag. Many cars are capable of beating the VR4 in a drag-race that I wouldn't rather own simply because they fall short in appearance--it's a beautiful car, inside and out.
partly agree with you but your wrong, this car was priced as much as the supra tt when it came out, this car was built for Grand touring and this car went all out on weight which was its biggest disadvantage.
vr4 and supra has the same hp, original, 286, but still the is the vr4 faster.
and supra is also a far more commen car, so its a lot of cheap after market stuff to get easy hp(not so realible often) but i would say supra att vr4 are both good, and are both nice to upgrade to more hp
first off the e30 is slow at hell. I have a 95 e 36 imported 6 speed pushing 317 HP. That would own your VR-4 anyday as for the dude about the civic over the vr-4 hell yeah and you know my friends 2000 could own the vr4 too
Sorry, but the factory VR-4 pushes 320hp. Bleed the boost to 14psi with a $25 Boost controller and your pushing 400hp easily. Not too mention VR-4 is all wheel drive. So while you are smoking your tires, the VR-4 is already gone. My buddy has had 3 E36 M3's, 1 of them had a full exhaust, headers and Dinan chip and I beat him every time with my TT Stealth. Nothing was done except bled the boost to 16psi. E36 M3 is a very nice car, but will not beat a VR-4 in a straight line without a lot of mods.

You're actually shockingly stupid, EMG4Life. I have driven M3s and VR4s and the VR4 will absolutely stomp a 90s M3. Lol having also driven an SRT4 i can tell you that if driven properly and being BPU it can beat 90s M3s in a straight line.
I currently own a VR4. I have 400hp at the wheels in my VR4. It cost me $5000 to achieve. 0-60 in 3.9 and quarter mile in 12.1 and even high 11s once. AWD launch ftw, bitch.
