This is the Wesker I like-Machiavellian, mastermind, plotter, thinker, cool, calm, collected. I hated how they made Wesker seem crazy in RE5. It completely contradicts the Wesker shown in RE games 0-4. As can be seen from this video.

Wesker could have easily killed anyone with some superhuman abilities, but the only thing he did was bragging about his plan (Just like in all games / movies where the bad guy has like 50 chances of killing the main character).
Wesker didn't perceive Chris as an immediate and pressing threat. He regarded him as an enemy with whom he could deal at his leisure the next time he showed up on the radar.
Did he underestimate Chris? Sure. If he had fully appreciated what a threat he was, it was just a matter of hiring some assassin with a sniper rifle to take him out.
Also, I found it very gratifying to see that high-riding bitch Excella die knowing that her genes were found wanting; that was a *whole* humble pie.
If you play a game in comparison to this (not a horror but using story as an example) Such as Mass effect. The Writers painstakingly wrote out a shit load of script for each of the game characters, enemys and their backgrounds. Residentevil5's intentions were to only use a short cut of writing to fill in the gap for their excuse of having yet another game added to the franchise. Now i DO NOT hate resident evil at all in anyway (except 5). I just disagree with some of the steps they've taken (5).

in my opinion albert wesker is the best re bad guy ever. but it was weak to have him as a regular monster at the end..i don't think that will be the last of albert though. he's just getting started. :)

This really doesn't have to be argued. In fact I wasn't even looking for an argument when I said I didn't like Wesker. I don't like him but he's a vital part of the series. I'm just not seeing why he's got so many fan boys... it's annoying.
*sigh* I made it because I can recognize, despite my personal convictions, that without him, Resident Evil would not be the same. Plus, when a song fits a character I know of, I use it. Wesker was designed to be hated, he IS a villain after all. No matter how "badass" everyone claims he is, he was still put there to be an asshole.

Another indicator for Weskers and especially Spencers death is that the creator of RE is a big Star Wars fan (as he says himself). And what happened in RE5 is just the end of Star Wars 6... an apprentice killing his master...
A very interesting play on words may be that "Wesker" is dead, but the virus that was in him was not. In RE:CV, he himself says he is not human anymore.
Viruses are neither living nor dead, they're genetic robots is what they are. Besides that, in the first game we did not see his body destroyed. In 5 we are blatantly shown Wesker submerged in lava with a rocket taking his head off.
Wesker is the definition of awesomeness. RE 5 Wesker is probably a clone and in RE 6 he is probably going to be a playable protagonist with 3 other people against Spencer.

This really doesn't have to be argued. In fact I wasn't even looking for an argument when I said I didn't like Wesker. I don't like him but he's a vital part of the series. I'm just not seeing why he's got so many fan boys... it's annoying.

*sigh* I made it because I can recognize, despite my personal convictions, that without him, Resident Evil would not be the same. Plus, when a song fits a character I know of, I use it. Wesker was designed to be hated, he IS a villain after all. No matter how "badass" everyone claims he is, he was still put there to be an asshole.

Another indicator for Weskers and especially Spencers death is that the creator of RE is a big Star Wars fan (as he says himself). And what happened in RE5 is just the end of Star Wars 6... an apprentice killing his master...

A very interesting play on words may be that "Wesker" is dead, but the virus that was in him was not. In RE:CV, he himself says he is not human anymore.

Viruses are neither living nor dead, they're genetic robots is what they are. Besides that, in the first game we did not see his body destroyed. In 5 we are blatantly shown Wesker submerged in lava with a rocket taking his head off.
