Hey, for the creator of the video, it's great that your open minded about Christianity and actually read the Bible and not wrote if off. But, I wanted to say that Jesus did talk about the Kingdom of Heaven also called eternal life a whole bunch in the gospels. I know that you mentioned that, that was your interpretation but if you go back and read through, Jesus really emphasized eternal life and the kingdom of heaven and how he longs for us to understand it.

BTW I wanted to clear up that I do believe in heaven. But what I meant was Christians who put their self on pedestals aren't impressing God. God wants to reach out to the many hurting people in this world. By reaching out to people (prisoners, prostitutes, homeless, your neighbor) and showing mercy and love is way more effective than pointing fingers and judging them. The bible is clear about what is wrong but also says God judges a person by what's in their heart. We don't have that authority.
I think your perception of Jesus is accurate. I do believe Jesus was telling the truth, that miracles happen all over the world, and all the things prophesied in Revelations about Israel and the end times is currently unfolding. You're right about "religious" people. The goal of Christians shouldn't be to "win souls" to earn brownie points in heaven (cuz that aint happening), but how we live our lives and how we treat people should be the #1 priority. Actions speak louder than words.

Salvation is about the present and the future. Were are "saved" so that we can impact the world around us in Love. This idea of living only for the afterlife is something that was added years after.
Jesus hung out with "sinners", not with the religious scholars. He loved people and saw their inherrent value. He stood up for those without a voice.
Jesus said "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone" The moment anyone in the world condemns another for any sin, they have just condemned themselves by their very words. Jesus did not come to condemn but to bring life abundant and He will receive anyone who comes to Him in the midst of any sin. His arms are open wide to receive sinners. He said I have not come to save the righteous but sinners..
About your references to Jesus Christ... He was focused on this life because it is in this life we need to make our corrections so that we may enter heaven when we pass on. He provided salvation for everyone who would accept his sacrifice so that everyone has an equal opportunity to enter heaven. People who call themselves Christians and don't live the Christian life are called hypocrites and are only fooling themselves in thinking they are safe. A Christian is to embrace all life regardless.
The hardest thing to do is know ourselves, we all have a tail that can be stepped on ie weaknesses. Of course some don't view those weaknesses, as such. In my case I'm fighting alcoholism, violence, and sexual indulgences. It's simply my faith and who I follow. I'm not perfect, and I think my own weaknesses are disgusting. I don't hate homosexuals, I see them as having flaws just like me. Different flaws, but flaws just the same. Sin is sin regardless of it's labels. All fall short before God.
I personally find homosexuality disgusting. The act itself, not the person. The Bible teaches us to love the sinner not the sin. The Bible does not lie when it calls it an abomination, but to treat each sin as if there are varying levels is also just as bad. I'm the first to admit that I'm not perfect. To God all sins are equal in the sense that without his forgiveness we're all equally lost, whether homosexual or heterosexual. Sin is sin, if you drink, or sleep around, whether you lie or kill, you are just as lost.
Homosexuals should by no means be accepted as normal, but they shouldn't be treated with murderous hate either. If Christ dealt with each of us according to all our sins, would we stand? It is a very touchy point. I will say that it is sick, it is twisted, and no matter what anyone says its not normal. But I can also say the same about fornicators and drunks. That said, for those who are unbelievers, God loves you, you may not believe in Him, but He does in you.

People have justified torture of children by god ordered it": slaughter of children (physical pain), enslaving of civilian children (mental/ physical pain; threat of punishment on the children of offenders (and several generations) - mental child abuse. All justified by the Israelites.
Under Biblical morality the Allies could have slaughtered all Germans because of, or enslaved the women and children and raped the female virgins. They could do this by claiming that their gods said it was OK.

I know that you mentioned that, that was your interpretation but if you go back and read through, Jesus really emphasized eternal life and the kingdom of heaven and how he longs for us to understand it.

I'd just like to say. Your view on the afterlife is totally off, at least from a Christian's perspective (I assume you are not?) If you read past for four gospels, you will find many people who risked their lives daily for the gospel that saves people from the eternal hell that in the next life not in this life. If this life was all we had, they're martyrdom would've been pointless.

um...yes it does.Read 1 Corinthians 6:9-12. but notice it doesn't say it's a special sin. The words sexual orientation is wrong to begin with. BTW I wanted to clear up that I do believe in heaven. But what I meant was Christians who put their self on pedestals aren't impressing God. God wants to reach out to the many hurting people in this world. By reaching out to people (prisoners, prostitutes, homeless, your neighbor) and showing mercy and love is way more effective than pointing fingers and judging them. The bible is clear about what is wrong but also says God judges a person by what's in their heart. We don't have that authority.

I think your perception of Jesus is accurate. I do believe Jesus was telling the truth, that miracles happen all over the world, and all the things prophesied in Revelations about Israel and the end times is currently unfolding. You're right about "religious" people. The goal of Christians shouldn't be to "win souls" to earn brownie points in heaven (cuz that aint happening), but how we live our lives and how we treat people should be the #1 priority. Actions speak louder than words.

How arent they human? The bible says "HUMANS SIN" ... and "apparently" homosexuality is a 'sin'. Therefore its a human sinning. THUS HOMOSEXUALS = HUMAN. People who masterbate = NOT HUMAN? Salvation is about the present and the future. Were are "saved" so that we can impact the world around us in Love. This idea of living only for the afterlife is something that was added years after.
Jesus hung out with "sinners", not with the religious scholars. He loved people and saw their inherrent value. He stood up for those without a voice.

About your references to Jesus Christ... He was focused on this life because it is in this life we need to make our corrections so that we may enter heaven when we pass on. He provided salvation for everyone who would accept his sacrifice so that everyone has an equal opportunity to enter heaven. People who call themselves Christians and don't live the Christian life are called hypocrites and are only fooling themselves in thinking they are safe. A Christian is to embrace all life regardless.

The hardest thing to do is know ourselves, we all have a tail that can be stepped on ie weaknesses. Of course some don't view those weaknesses, as such. In my case I'm fighting alcoholism, violence, and sexual indulgences. It's simply my faith and who I follow. I'm not perfect, and I think my own weaknesses are disgusting. I don't hate homosexuals, I see them as having flaws just like me. Different flaws, but flaws just the same. Sin is sin regardless of it's labels. All fall short before God.

I personally find homosexuality disgusting. The act itself, not the person. The Bible teaches us to love the sinner not the sin. The Bible does not lie when it calls it an abomination, but to treat each sin as if there are varying levels is also just as bad. In the love of the Lord we cannot hate a homosexual, we must bring God's word to them, if they choose not to accept the Gospel, then it is their choice. Unfortunately in this day and age Christians tend to go to the extremes.

I'm the first to admit that I'm not perfect. To God all sins are equal in the sense that without his forgiveness we're all equally lost, whether homosexual or heterosexual. Sin is sin, if you drink, or sleep around, whether you lie or kill, you are just as lost.

Homosexuals should by no means be accepted as normal, but they shouldn't be treated with murderous hate either. If Christ dealt with each of us according to all our sins, would we stand? It is a very touchy point. I will say that it is sick, it is twisted, and no matter what anyone says its not normal. But I can also say the same about fornicators and drunks. That said, for those who are unbelievers, God loves you, you may not believe in Him, but He does in you.

Now if you choose not to accept nor believe, thats fine, you have the Godgiven right to make up your own mind. While I will say that outside of Christ there is no salvation, I will give no hate to someone who won't believe. So I will say what I believe. God hates homosexuality, but He loves the homosexual. I may be wrong I am human, this is my view, it is to you the reader and viewer to decide for yourself.

The problem is we live in a society that spoon feeds our youth into thinking it is normal and that there is nothing wrong with it. Well, I for one, will not be sucked into this ludicrous ideology. Some things are wrong, regardless of how people try to justify it. Since people are allowed to voice their opinion, I will voice mine, homosexuality is a perversion.

Homosexuality is as sick as a child molester. It is a sexually perverted act. It is abnormal sex, period. Has nothing to do with religion, but more biological. Humans were not meant to have sex with the same sex. Regardless of what people say to justify it, it is a sick act! But hey, we live in a sexually corrupt society that deems anything acceptable sexually as long as enough people support it. I, for one, will never accept this as part of the norm.

I agree, Jesus was a very radical person and would be best friends with people we christians would "frown upon". I hate religion. It divides people. Thats not what God wants. Homosexuals have abnormal sex, nothing to do with religion, but biology. Humans reproduce via sexual intercourse from a man and a woman, all other forms are abnormal. You can be emotional all you want about this statement, but you can not argue with biology. By the way, sex is from the mind, so it is a CHOICE! Just as a child molester and rapist makes a choice or to be celibate. Im tired of people making excuses of why it is "normal" to be homosexual, it is an abnormality, period!
