  • I wish more pop artists would use pipe organs, problem is they are unfortunately associated with dull dismal church services and religion which I find so sad.

I am an organist and the pipe organ is my favourite instrument, however, looking at Youtube, I think it is gaining in popularity. Pipe organs are also impossible to carry about for obvious reasons but I welcome more concerts like this, even though the organ is not really being played anywhere near its capability.

  • @goodchappy Pop artists?????...Since when is Muse Pop?

  • @musicResistances Explain...

  • @goodchappy There is nothing to explain...Everybody who knows at least 80% of muse's songs knows that Muse are not Pop

  • @musicResistances Where in my original post did I state that Muse are "Pop" ? I think you may be missing the point I was making.

  • @goodchappy you was talking about pop artists below a muse video so i assumed that you categorized muse with them and since there are many paople who tend to do this after resistance came out, i just got furious..If you didn't mean to call muse pop then i apologize ...

  • @musicResistances I am not on here to make enemies.

Just to clarify my original point was that other than use for classical organ recitals and religeous use, the organ is not well used and I think this is sad and a missed opportunity.

I would like to see it used more for other types of music, it seems for the majority of people there is a lack of understanding about the instrument, it can be very flexible.

  • @musicResistances Where exactly did I state in my original post that Muse were "pop"?

I think you maybe misunderstanding my original point.

  • I searched so long for this one in proper quality. This quality's the best I found. Not too great, but good enough to hear it properly. Thanks!

Wish I was there ... gig just has to have been amazing.

  • RAH last year was very mental. Bliss? Megalomania? Osaka Jam? and a Hangar 18? lol

very best moments in bh&r era.

  • And Fury!!!

  • @killerkite333

    Dont forget Fury :D

  • @killerkite333 Hangar 18? isn't that megadeth? :O

  • @0redthunder0 yup, are you shocked? lol.. search for Hangar 18 + Stockholm Syndrome RAH 08

  • one of my top five muse songs

before i die, i must hear this live :)

  • unnatural selection opens with an organ

  • was thinking he's going to play Unnatural Selection when he started :D

  • HAS to be a pro shot of this soon!

    one of thier greatest moments!

  • Not my favourite song but absolutely amazing performance!!!!

  • My favourite song, Absolutely amazing performance!!!!

  • Amen.

    matt is God.

  • hope they write another song where he uses the organ

  • I think its been confirmed that they will for The Resistance

  • woah. O.o

  • matt looks so small compared to the organ...

  • Fantastic. I hope Arcade Fire can preform Intervention there some day. btw, is there any more good organ songs like Megalomania and Intervention?

  • wow that is epic, i bet nothing like that has been played on that organ before. its so haunting lol

  • I wish there was one with better sound quality

  • ORGASMIC!

  • No, Musegasmic. :]

  • imho, one of the greatest gig of the expiring year!

  • amen.

  • Immense! My fave track off OoS

  • haha the video stops like the exact second before matt starts plug in baby

  • is it just me that prefers the bass line to the original 'Osaka Jam'. The new drums kick ass, but I just think the bass was better before.

  • Muse is just so awesome...I mean, the crowds in these live videos actually become quiet because they want to listen to songs...Amazing.

  • I wish I was there so badly

  • This vid is legendary, I really wish i could have been there ! Muse are RAH gods now !

  • did they search you at the door? how did you get the camera inside?

  • i dont think anyone got searched we didnt we

e just got told to have a good evening and got given a free programme and where sat somewhere by this person i would say

  • No we didn't get searched just showed our tickets and walked straight in.

  • They only really care about DSLRs. If you go in with a giant camera bag, then you might be searched, and they may take it off you. They don't care about little compact cameras. They are only trying to protect the photographers they have paid to do the work.

  • just the most mazing night, this song just goes straight through me,couldn't believe they played it,i was in tears, just epic

  • this is the most epic moment of muses career!!

  • i hope it's not cuz that would be dissapointing for their best ever, no offense this was just incredible though

  • One of the best nights of my life, just as good as either night at Wembley. this proves that theyre not just a big lightshow and actually deserve all those best live band awards... which there are alot of :D

  • i wish i was there.....

  • OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! i wish wish wish wish wish wish i could have been there!! it looks and sounds utterly IMMENSE!!!

    LOVE MUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • i love muse i love muse i love muse!

this is a so fucking great masterpiece!

  • Looks amazing when you switch it to High Quality.

  • It freaks me out how Matt sings like an Italian tenor in some of those notes! He makes that organ go nuts too!!! It's a definitely muse-worthy instrument...

  • This is the kind of info money can't buy.

  • fucking amazing!!!!

  • I really, really, really, hope someone made a dvd out of this classic moment, perhaps even "the" moment in MUSE's entire carrer..

I've never seen any clip better than this one with Muse, and i've seen them 4 times live aswell.

    Awesome!!!! Goosebumps! Amazing! Marvelous!

  • There are not words for Muse...only one word..AWESOME band of ever!matthew bellamy is simply a genius!!

In this decadent moment for all(art ,music, and especially politics),Muse are the way to believe that out there in the human brain ,there something "alive" yet!

    J apologize 4 my english!

    Cheers from italy!!

  • if anybody has been there, tell me if you've seen some cameras because it would be great to share this in a better quality, i hope they will release some videos of this show cause i think this place is really amazing.

  • It was filmed for the Teenage Cancer Trust, the cameras were smack infront of us!! The best bits of all the TCT concerts from this year will be out on DVD next year, and I'm sure Muse will feature on it big time!! They were totally AWESOME!!!

  • wooow i always find it impressive when he sings all high! =D

  • that part between songs is that jam session between Dom and Chris (the 53 second video)

  • dude, you got an amazing seat lol

  • Oh My god this is so awesome! Have't heard them play this in ages!

  • they haven't played this song in like 5-6 years, matt had to learn this song the day of the performance. So its understandable that his vocals are a bit off from the original. But none the less its still an amazing performance, 5/5.

  • AMEN.

  • I think he cannot hear himself singing... Maybe a technical problem... cause at the begining he is not as precise as usual. I think he tried to fix it during the song (he stops singing at one moment) but couldn't. Being able to still sing in such horrible conditions is stunning. But it's Matt, after all...Nothing's really impossible to him.

  • i was in the east choir :D On the vid, im about 1.5 cm to left of matt!

  • Lucky bastard!

  • jeez that sounds phenominal...

  • He is.

  • that was sick, what was the last song ?

  • Knights of Cydonia

  • it's megalomania from origin of symmetry. it wasn't released in the US until a couple years ago. i think they recorded it in 2001 or 2002

  • He's not singing as tight as usual, i don't think he hears himself..

  • This was absolutely brilliant. Matt just appeared at the organ. The sound was electrifying.. Still gives me goosebumps thinking about it

  • Muse is kinda addictive

When they want to be they are one of the darkest bands ever,, because they are genuinely dark,, but they can also uplifting in a way.. The dichotomy of Muse,,, Love it!!!!

  • I was there :D it was amazing :D

  • yeah megalomania

  • Humm Matt

  • YEAH IS GOOD

  • WOW ;Is GREAT IS MUSE!!!!

  • Wow ... first time they played this song in 5 years!!! One of their best ever.

  • fukin great! ur quite far back by the looks of it.

  • DAMM wish i went :(

  • AMEN !!

  • Wow.

  • And of course his high voice... in this song, his voice range is used fully which makes it one of my favourites :)

  • wow, I don't think they have played this live in aaaages!! Matt's deep voice ^^

  • WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA THIS IS SOO AMAZING :o can't believe they played it :o

  • OMG!!!I can't believe they still play this song!!!I love it so much!the darkness inside it,and the organ is just outstanding.

I bow down to muse,Rock Gods of all time!!!

  • DAMN this was AMAZING

I was right at the front and everybody just SCREAMED!!!

  • amazin - love the sound of organs, they shud do like a best of album with organ instead of piano

  • Megalomania is one of my top ten songs if i had to pick anyway...... What is that last two minutes or so?? SOmething for a new album hopefully? Its awesome whatever it is.. To be just a three piece band they manage to produce a very full sound.. one of my top five bands to be sure!!!!!

  • the last 2min is osaka jam

  • Is that a song they only perform live, or a B-side or what?? And what about "CHOIR View" &"Balloons" ??

  • i thinks its only somethign they perform live but im not sure!! choir view is the view form the choir seats behidn the stage and balloons are for bliss!!

  • no. last song on orgin of symentr, which came out in 2001, but did not come to america until about 2004. cd is orangish in color and has things that look like forks in it. go to a best buy, they usuaylly have it.

  • That organ is HUGE, it dwarfs him, but he commands it like he fucking owns it. It sounds nothing short of EPIC.

He may be diminutive in stature, but there is no doubt that, in the music world, Bellamy is a fucking behemoth all on his own. As a band, you wont beat Muse, i dont care who you are, you will not beat this band. Absolutely epic, but then again, Muse are nothing less than that

  • @citizenerased8606 - that's the beauty of the organ, it is an enormous instrument (both in size and potential power) but it's so easy to command, so approachable, and has simply unparalleled dynamic range and expressive capabilities. Nothing else comes anywhere close. Would that more people outside the organ world were aware of this...

  • It was an AMAZING performance, I am always too busy enjoying the gig to record and post on youtube and rely on people like you so I have the pleasuse of reliving it later! Many many thanks for posting this its much appreciated!

  • This song is increidible!!! Good old one!

    Cool bass riff too!

  • is he using the actual organ???

  • he is indeed my friend

  • yes. fool

  • the best !

    the must !

muse merci detre là ! continuez à créer ...

    c'est ' EXTASE !!!!!

    le sumum...

    vive la vie !

  • 0_0

    T_T

i wish i was there to witness this myself...

  • My friend won tickets to this by calling into a SF radio station. Love the Showbiz and Origin tracks, and the prick didn't bring me lol.

  • WOW!!, he's the best , God of Gods

  • im going to see them on augest 13th!!i cant wait!!!

  • i cant stop watching this!!

  • This is why we love Muse and music

  • Logicthx2006:

You must be so proud for your posting and the comments received on it.

I have not yet come across such a reaction to a music clip.

I have viewed this several times now and cannot get enough. The fact I can set it to full screen on Higher Definition makes it all the better.

  • I wish I was there, now I am in London& I've missed it...They were good 2 in Budapest last nov!!!

  • ha, 42 'oh my god'

  • i wish i could go back to saturday!! i was crying when they played this!! iwas just overwhelmed!!

  • How lucky you are !!! I wish they played it when I saw them !! It's an awesome fucking song !!

  • This was the best live moment that I can ever remember - historic is the right word. And I am 40 and have seen 100s of live acts over the past 25 years. I am so glad my 11 yr old sin was with me. He was blown away!

  • Name me the bands you've seen before that I would be really curious to know who

  • Hi jigsawlaza:

I had to laugh reading your comment for two reasons.

    a. I am also 40 and have seen hundreds of bands, but no one (not Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and certainly not U2) get even close to what these three gentlemen produce.

    b. You took your 11 yr old sin? I hope he has been blessed with a name.

    Kind regards

  • comparing muse with those three bands is just wrong...your talking about 3 bands that are among the best ever...dude..your 40 years old and 2 years of musical culture!listen more music pleaaaassseee

  • I listen to plenty of music. I have plenty of friends in the music industry, being musicians, promoters and even roadies. That aside, my point is that MUSE are the best, "LIVE" band I have ever seen. I have seen the the three mentioned and let me tell you: They do not compare.

I can't see the point of you telling me I am wrong

  • I WAS THERE!!! i know that everytime i look at an organ, i will think of this historic moment...

  • Thank you, thank you for putting this up here.

  • OMG I LOVE IT SO MUCH. I'm all happy now. Hehe. I love MUSE. Wish I was there it is ok for some getting to see muse while I sat at hospital waiting and waiting. I could have been there.

    Love CHEERS xxx

  • I do believe I will give that five stars. If this video bought me to tears, I'm pretty sure that I would have been inconsolable if I'd seen it live.

  • i like to see muse with batalion occestra

  • tears streaming down my face... Megalomania performed by the awesome Matt Bellamy ... it touches your very soul :)

  • Good sound on this video.

  • thought wembley was the peak of live performances, and then they pulled this one out of the bag...what a surreal experience, a night which surpassed wembley in my opinion and am scared now...how do you improve on perfection ?

  • maybe the ending riff is already something from the next album? would be great ;)

  • oh ym god, i so wish i was there, i love this song, and damn, im excited just knowing that they played it recently!

  • This was the hightlight of the gig.

  • You should splice the video with the audio from Sousous' bootleg of Megalomania. Shouldn't be too hard.

  • Seeing this live was a very special experience - this is the best youtube posting. Well done to Teenage Cancer Trust and to MUSE. A musical sensation!

  • sick... unbelivable... there's no point trying to convey how awesome this is.

  • sick... unbelivable... there's no point trying to convey how awesome this is.

  • I'd never heard Megalomania before this, and actually being in the hall there with the organ was just magnificent. Muse rule totally. :D

  • Every moment of that video was spectacular! The Jam at the end was priceless! And Matt sitting at that HUGE organ, just unforgetable! 5 stars!

  • Gah, I wish I lived in London!!! The last time they played this song was in 2002!!!! 2002!!!!!!!!! aksdunrfkvussdheg!!!!!!!!!

everyone who was there is so lucky cos theyll probly never play this again unless they do royal albert hall again

  • I never thought i'd see a better gig than wembley, it was the peak of genius. But this Live was just magic. Really cant describe how u felt with the noise gushing through you. mental.

  • What can one say. As if I was not envious enough not having made it to Wembeley now you show me this. Would anyone put me up in England where all the best action is. I am happy to trade The Ashes just to see such a performance.

  • I never thought they'd play this live ever again, fantastic.

  • this song alone was worth the ticket price!!! fucking incredible!!!

  • Brilliant!

  • It brings shivers down my spine everytime I watch this.

  • i was lucky enough to be there...and had AAA passes ,so we were down stairs having a nose in the piano room when Matt taps my mate on the back so he can go in there!!!Then after the gig ,while im having a piss my wife just walks up to Matt and gets his auto graph...Top stuff

  • i went and it was amazing!!! me and my friends and our parents went on a tour round the royal albert hall at 2 ish and when we went in the hall Matt was mucking about on the organ - we shouted but he couldn't hear us. Then, we walked down the corridor, only to see Dom on the phone!! we waved and he waved back and gave us thumbs up!! Best gig ever!!!!!

  • I hope that riff gets some use on the next album. It's got potential.

Amazing video, you're a lucky git to have been there. Megalomania is one of their best songs imo.
