  • What product is she using to keep her hair wet? Mine always dries out, and my stylist wouldn't tell me what she uses.

  • Is her hair wet? Thank you for sharing!!!!

  • @mahalbelle I'm Dominican and you roll your hair when its wet because its easier to get ahold of the hair to stick to the roller.

  • so whats so spcial about dominican salons? cant i do it at home?

  • @cleopatrajones90 gurl yeah, im pretty sure you can (save a lot of money, lol)

  • @cleopatrajones90 You can roller set and blow it out at home, it's not that complicated lol

  • look at all that broken hair in the comb! yikes!!

  • dont know what the big fuss i grew up in the islands and everyone did set there hair back then and take care of there own hair instead of using fake hair all the time.

  • @cocaroots yea it's not hard to do at all, but so many people want a quick fix.

  • They always make your hair look nice I just don't like how they comb through your hair.

  • she's combing that childs hair wrong.... u comb frm tip to root, that way u loose less hair..... smh... other than that this is good

  • Dominican hair salons have totally over taken the hairdressing buisness!!

I NEVER used to go to the hairdresser because they took too damn long, talked too damn much and ordered food all the damn time. There's no way you can justify sitting in a salon for 4 or 5 hours (on a week day) So now with the Dominican's I get in and get out and my hair is always the bomb. They have great attitudes I think and are very nice. They honor their profession and that's why they rule right now!!

  • love dominican hair dressers. though they tend to have attitudes :P

  • Thxs, to this quick video on doing rollers HELPED my mom out. She was able to do her own hair in the late 70's and now she forgot how to put them on till she watch the video.

  • Umm..isn't this a video about HAIR?? Yes she does have beautiful hair and her stylist is on point.

But beautiful hair does not necessarily mean 'straight' hair and if certain viewers think that, then they're living a life of ignorance and might as well still be picking cotton on a plantation. smh

  • is her hair relaxed?

  • UFff unos rolos bien hechos :)

  • is her hair damp? because i want to try this myself and want help on how she started from the beginning??

  • of course it looks easy...theres another person doing it for her! if you do it yourself, then thats a whole nother story. i'd prob take an hour doing this to myself, lol.

  • @BeautifulQueen18 Also what the heck is Dominican hair?

  • I Wish i had hair like dominicans insted of having black peoples are no offensie to my people

  • @BeautifulQueen18 Wow. Could we say self hate much? I feel sorry for you. Love the skin you're in. And since when does being Dominican mean that you are not black? Most Dominicans are black or mulatto. Dominican is a nationality, NOT A RACE.

WHat you said is as stupid as saying "I wish I had hair like Americans(USA) instead of having black people's hair"

YOU SEE HOW STUPID THAT SOUNDS? And in many cases the black person is Dominican lmao.

  • @chsn09 SHUT UP FUCKTARD AFROCENTRIST LOL

  • @BeautifulQueen18 MOST OD FOMINICAN MOSYT OFDF 75% OF THEM ARE LMIXED TAINO WHITE AND AFRO LOL SOME ARA MULKATO TAINO ARABIC WHITE ASIAN AND THE MINORIUITY IS BLACK OF HATIAN ORIGIN

  • I Wish I Had Dominican Hair but iam 100% African American She Got Beautfiul hair and plus to have different texter hair i will have different hairstyles and sometimes were braids or go to the dominicans get my hair professionaliy done i will like to be latina

  • is her hair relaxed??

  • Do you have to have naturally soft and/or straight/wavy hair or have a perm to do this? Cause if my really thick and really coarse hair was in it's natural state and had just been washed - well - there is no way (without a perm) my hair would be that straight and easy to comb and roll up on curlers when its wet after washing it!!

  • they way they comb is straight up murder on my hair, i speak spanish somewhat and i heard the girk complaining about how strong my hair is. if it werent for that i would go to tghem more but i am learning to rollerset my own hair now.

  • wow u made it look so quick and easy. is there a part 2 to this video?

  • SASSY SWAG SILK DOOBIE WRAPS PLS WATCH

  • where is the results?

  • i was hoping to see the results. this video is pointless otherwise.

  • @plprz It's in a separate video. Go above the screen to where their video log is and the continuation is the first one (at least it was for me). HTH!

  • i wanna c the results! :)

  • The way she rolls the hair in the rollers just looks so perfect

  • wow she madd good

ima bout to go to one in 2 wks for my first perm!!!!

  • LOVE DOMINICAN BLOW OUTS!!!!

  • Aren't you brushing her hair too hard?

  • Dominicans can do a roller set in 5-7 minutes flat...that's what i like about them.

  • a pro!

  • Wow, this woman is definitely a pro. She is getting them in effortlessly.

  • awww men this is wat i was lookin for...i thought i was doin it wrong but u reassured me... Thanks a million!

  • i like it. How old is the girl with the beutiful hair ?

  • Yes i love it when Dominican women do my hair, it comes out sooo nice ugh and it has such a nice bouncy look

  • I am going to attempt this again.

  • PLEASE TRY MY DOOBIE WRAP! GOD BLESS!

  • is the girl getting her hair done dominican?

  • I'm really good at doing the straight middle row of hair when I do my rollers but after that it's so frusterating because I can't get the sides in as well. Any one have tips?

  • Same with me. You have to angle some of the side ones, esp. closer to the back to however it'll fit you. .

  • Wow I just dont get how everyone on youtube is making roller sets look so easy... I be strugglin to do it.

  • there's another way to do rollers and its quite easy.

  • @AuthenticFeirce What's the other "easy" way to do it? Im getting ready to do one net week and I need help, do you have a link I can go to to get the easy method or do you know how?

  • @AshleyLaShun2 try using end papers. They help the roller grip better. I use the end paper on the roller, then roll the hair. Secret is to get the end of the hair on the roller, make sure it's taunt, then roll your hair. I use the magnetic rollers with the holders, I can't manuver the clips! Hope this helps.

  • @AshleyLaShun2 it takes practice I've been rollersetting for about 3 years and I just finally mastered the rollerset. Now I always get perfect rollersets with roots that lie flat. I relax ever 4-8 months depending on how frustrated I would get with my rootrs but now I havent relaxed since october2009 and my roots are still laying flat due to rollersets its May2010 m ind you I work out 5 to 8 times a week

  • @jjg35 So what's the correct way to do it? To get your roots to lie flat, because I relax too.

  • @neecee401100 after applying serum to the hair, pull a section of hair that you are going to set and comb from ends to roots and as you get closer to the roots your need to have some tension with your other hand to maintain the roots straight after you comb. Then as you put the roller on, you wanna slide it over the roots up to a point in your hair in which you can wrap the hair over the roots. If you maintain the tension you should get smooth/sleek roots just like the rest of your hair.

  • @jjg35 thank you! =)

  • @AshleyLaShun2 I totally agree. I struggle with rods sets. which I love but it is difficult for me to do.

  • @AshleyLaShun2 Practice and your sets will get better.

  • I love the way you work

  • where can you buy these rollers? I'm from germany and I would also like to have such. Please answer me. Thank you

  • This will be my last response to "dymestunna". I refuse to debate on a a video blog, but simply to advise the ladies out there who are looking for great items to use, purchase and try... I highly recommend reading ALL online reviews on each product that you show interest in. Read them on different sites, study the ingredients and make sure that it is the product that will work best with your hair type so you achieve the result you desire. We are all looking for the best results right? Good luck!

  • why is this a response to ME? lol. NEway.

Ladies, try finding more natural products or even ones not so high up on the cancerous product list. to "mztropicalblend" u been "debating" by yourself. lol.

  • Diazolidinyl urea, as a formaldehyde releaser, is sometimes used in cosmetic products as a preservative, was recently re-classified by the International Agency for Research on Cancer to its highest toxic class, IARC 1 (known human carcinogen). Formaldehyde is classified as a probable human carcinogen by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, which provides sufficient evidence that formaldehyde causes nasopharyngeal cancer in humans by the International Agency for Research on Cancer.

  • lol

  • hello i would like to know what setting lotion you use and shampoo. thank you

  • this was helpful

    you should post more vids

  • I wish you could have done a part two to this video. Very good video.

  • beautiful tight set, I wish I could have seen the ending results

  • Dominicans are the best doing hair...No one can blow out the hair better!

    Yayyyyyy Dominican's Stand up =)

  • Part of me is standing up! lol =)

I think I might just try this. It'll probably turn out differently on natural (Loosely Coiled Curly Hair-3C/4A) hair, but I've heard things about it.

  • @DominicanQueen21

     Egyptians can ;)

  • @DominicanQueen21 i have heard that from everybody out in the east coast. i'm so mad cuz out here it's eith black or white. mexicans do an okay job but i'm mixed with latin/polynesian so i got about a pound of hair on my scalp. wish they was here to do mine

  • @DominicanQueen21 WOOT DOMINICAN PRIDE BABY!!

  • @DominicanQueen21 That's not true. I've seen people of different races blow out hair great. Also dont forget Dominicans are'nt the first ones who did this Black people was doing this in the 60's!!!!

  • @hairdiva35 Many dominicans have african ancestry (most of them it's pretty darn noticeable) and very similar hair textures to african americans if you want to get down to it....so the relevance of that comment is a little confusing to me :/. I've seen other cultures do their version of hair getting blown out, but for someone to perfect the art of doing this to the very dry and typically fragile hair shaft that belongs to those of african ancestry...it's pretty amazing. thumbs up.

  • @DominicanQueen21 That is soooo true!!!!

  • @DominicanQueen21 I agree :)

  • is her hair relaxed or natural

  • it relaxed.

  • can u girls tell me wat products u use I use la baba de caracol and Silicon mix but would like to know if theres anything better.

  • Im kinda curious... I've heard of ppl mentioning using silicon mix.. What exactly does it do for hair?????

  • I have been personally using Silicon Mix Intensive Treatment for at least 6 months now and I LOVE IT! I have had nothing but great compliments on my hair, the shine and the sleekness of it. I have very DRY and brittle hair, and I IMMEDIATELY noticed a difference after I washed and sat under the dryer with this conditioner for approx 10-15 minutes. It not only smells great and leaves a great softness and manageability in the hair. I am of West-Indian and West-African heritage & LOVE the product!!

  • Please be careful of these products. Silicon mix contains Imidazolidinyl urea. This is a preservative that releases FORMALDEHYDE! Formaldehyde is grows hair and nails really long but also causes cancer!

    Sorry to be dramatic but:

    SILICON MIX CAUSES CANCER!

As well as a host of other hair and body products that contain parabens and other known carcinogens(cancer causing ingredients). check your products & see if any of the ingredients end in paraben. These cause cancer.

  • I believe you mean Diazolidinyl Urea, which is an antimicrobial preservative used in cosmetics. It is chemically related to imidazolidinyl urea which is used in the same way. Diazolidinyl urea acts as a formaldehyde releaser. It's produced by the chemical reaction of allantoin and formaldehyde in the presence of sodium hydroxide solution and heat. The reaction mixture is then NEAUTRALIZED with hydrochloric acid and EVAPORATED. Occupational exposure to formaldehyde can be carcinogenic (cont.)

  • (cont.) only for those who are occupationally exposed to it in raw form, meaning any manufacturing plants, embalming procedures, etc. The version that you are speaking of is NEUTRALIZED and is simply to PREVENT the conditioner from HARVESTING BACTERIA from the frequent hand dipping (into the jar), resulting in hair loss from infection.

Although I understand and appreciate your concern, we as women need to research what we are putting on our hair OURSELVES and not go by what others say.

  • Wow! I can see you can really copy and paste well! And I am SO glad u corrected me on the name i mixed up the chemicals but they are very much the same and used the same.

I dont know about it being neutralized but if a person you did not know gave you a jar cancer inducing medicine but told you it was "neutralized" would you really take it? I guess that is up to anyones own judgement. The label says Diazolidinyl Urea not "neutralized diazolidinyl urea.

  • Comment removed

  • I am not ignorant, in fact, very far from it. Thank you for the prayers though. Say a prayer over that silicon mix too, girl.

  • My question is why trust a company that will use these low grade and dangerous chemicals even if they are 'neutralized." Just so that the product can last extra long on the self when they can really do it in a safer way. They are really just putting aside the safety of the customers.

  • And I believe you mean NEUTRALIZED!

LMFAO...(big as hell and in all CAPS)

  • I'm not sure where my orig. response is. After reading your responses I'm unsure why I bother. The FDA highly regulates these items & would not only place this item on a register... but req. that the manuf. company label the item carcinogenic, like Sweet N Low. If you take the moment to re-read what I prev. wrote, you will see that Diazolidinyl urea is actually the result from the neutralized mixture. Formaldehyde is only detrimental when inhaled while used occupationally in large doses.

  • cool ur dominican!! yo soy de bonao (i think thats how u spell it )... y tu??

  • Will you be listing the products she uses on your hair. Is your hair relaxed or natural? And thanks for the video, you have pretty hair.

  • Thanks for posting this please keep them coming. More rollersets
