When swedish car-magazines have tested this car the 0,44litres/10km not approriate. They got down to 0,39litres per 10km. Personally I look forward to the new D5 engine with twin-sequential turbos, 1,8bars of turbopressure and 205horsepowers and 420Newtonmeters of torque!
And the car tells you when to gear up or down. ;) So you should theoretically always drive eco-driving in a DRIVe car.
I tried a Mitsubishi Galant -00 some time ago, and it did something like that - a flashing icon in the dashboard said something like "GDI mode" when within right gear and RPM. :)
Why must Europe/Scandinavia build superior vehicles--yet be misunderstood by the American public. I'm not racist but beautiful white countries producing beautiful white, pearl satin, graphite metallic,LA Red,and chiffon white vehicles willbe and must be purchased and driven-----------fully!
I have a Dodge pickup with a Cummins diesel engine. It gets 22 MPG and has 175,000 miles on the engine. A comparable gas job would get 11 MPG and would have blown up 75,000 miles ago. Diesel is a good way to go.

Re CinetopiaNet. Automakers such as Ford did actually try to Cmmercialize a plug-in. It was called Ford Th!nk and had a plant in Norway. By to me unknown reason the pulled out the plug on that car and sold the plug-in concept. Today Th!nk is on it's own with investors such as General Electric et al. When you look at the decision now it seems like a really stupid thing to do by Ford. The only right thing for Ford to do now is to go All In with Volvo's plug-in in-wheel program.
Good cars. Why aren't these turbo-diesels available in the USA? Why doesn't Ford and other automakers manufacture efficient vehicles in the USA? Why aren't automakers commercializing plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs)? Why doesn't Volvo diversify into wind energy, photovoltaics and biofuels?
people have been asking for diesels for years. i think its because ford thinks Americans a) wont buy them cuz of the higher cost of diesel b)ford thinks Americans think diesels are noisy and dirty. c) diesels are more expensive to make. i rly wish diesel would come over to our shores.
