  • wonder if she ever got laid by some male groupies on her world tour

  • like it

  • I think the arrangement let her down. And the backing singers are not in tune.

  • @hardyfh1 LMAO ;o)

  • my grandmother sounded just like this when she sang which unfortunately for anyone within earshot was often!!! fantastic

  • I'd like to hear William Shatner butcher this song. However, although this version is horrible, you cannot help but get caught up in the sheer silliness and joy of it. She is enjoying herself. Props to ya old girl.

  • lololololololol :P

  • gives me goosebumps when i hear her every time

  • @vandanross you guys a re so funny with some of your comments! You wanna sing along with her, just to help her out, or shut her up, hahaha.

  • GONG!

  • @glimmer2158 -- Exactly! Had she debuted on THE GONG SHOW Jamie Farr, Jaye P. Morgan and Arte Johnson would've gang-gonged her! LOL

  • As tribute to our I love I play this song for my wife--she walked out on me.

  • LOLOLOL Priceless!

  • OMG............I've let farts that sounded better! Was she one of those cold war psy-ops that was supposed to make the Russians commit mass suicide or something?

  • THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER HAHAHA !

  • Actualy I quite like it.

  • It's hard to criticise this. Masterly. It would be great to hear her live

  • It's hard to criticise this. Masterly!

  • Florence Foster Jenkins couldn't have done it better, had she been alive in the 1960s...

  • @shmuli9 This woman was alive?????

  • Even through this the beauty of the Bach survives.

  • The beauty of the Bach still comes through. And it had to be a challenge.

  • Bloody hillarious. This song is from an album entitled "The world's worst record". She just makes me laugh!!

  • lovely... grand ma

  • What would be hillarious is if she went on American Idol with Simon Cal. LOL.

  • she's like the american trololo

  • this woman is the Don .. no breaks on the lp so useless for sampling but hey sounds better than autotune crapness dominationg our charts

  • It could have been worse.I mean she never aattempted the Beatles' "I Am The Walrus". Even if she breaks my ear drums, it's nostalgia and I appreciate this reliving of my childhood.Thanks.

  • Is it a parody?

  • @graptolitok No. A parody means the person participating knows he or she is mocking something, is in on the joke. And that is not the case.

  • If the U.S. military wants to find Bin Laden, all they have to do is blast "Mrs. Miller's Greatest Hits" all over the Middle East and he'll surrender.

  • :;D

  • one of my very favourite Mrs Miller´s

  • What a laugh!

  • Mrs Miller is an all american piece of Americana but was quickly dumped when she wanted to try to actually record some real songs and not just do the comedy routines and recordings...She gave us all great laughs--and it couldnt be known that she was in on it--or it would have ruined it if people knew they were essentially comedy records and routines. Thus she was dumped because people instead ---felt sorry for her...

  • I grew up in a very musical household. That said, we had this record when I was a kid, and my brothers & sisters I listened to it a lot - mostly as an example of how NOT to make a song your very own. And I was about to say that this track was probably her best example of intonation and timing, but then at 2:19 she completely jumps the gun freight train-style, and they had to power-fade the song ending.

And it just doesn't matter, because as dad used to say, it's not the song, but the singer.

  • Not surprising we won the war!

  • Just goes to show - people will buy any old crap. VERY funny!

  • God Bless Mrs. Miller!

  • LOL, this sounds like Aunt Harriet singing from "Batman"!

  • I didn't know Tiny Tim sang this song.

  • Mrs. Miller is getting her jam on and on!

  • I want to have relations with Mrs. Miller.

  • I wonder if they modeled Miss Miller,( from- Alvin and the chipmunks), after this lady her delivery is over the top crazy. I almost fell out of my chair with laughter!

  • Takes talent to deliberately sing off-key and she made a lot of money using it. Actually, Mrs Miller had a beautiful singing voice.

  • Have loved dear Elva from back in the day. 5*

  • she was huge in the 60s

  • @BobChippewa "Huge"? Briefly. Very briefly. Have you ever heard a Mrs. Miller featured as an oldie? I haven't.

  • This is the best thing I've ever heard...oh sweet mystery of life I've finally found you!!!!

  • Whoa.........she seems to enjoy her rendition of this song.....100STARS!!!

  • She's O.K. She's different and genuine. Quite enjoyable especially if you want a light moment.

  • I must say, the comedic aspect of this is awesome!

  • 5 stars!!!!!! Absolut genial!

  • I remember having had this song on a LP in the 1970s. It was an LP with all sorts of comical acts, like Morecombe and Wise, Stan Freberg, etc. I found it very funny at the time and I remember she was in the 1970`s here in the Netherlands on national TV in the show of Willem Duys.

  • I pissed myself! Reminds me of Benny Hill in drag singing skits. Also horribly noteworthy: Florence Foster Jenkins

  • Stop knocking Mrs. Miller. She is awesome and I LOVE HER! There I said it.

  • Gee, that is really hilarious....was she serious when she recorded these albums??? Anyway, thanks for posting!!!

  • I don't think she could have been! I think she is laughing as she sings! It is like bad karaoke!

  • Actually LuisCarcamoCarcamo yes she was serious and believe it or not she had a legion of fans and sold a ton of records.

  • KINDA like an audio train wreck.

  • Imber classic.

  • this should be played in all hospitals in surgery recovery rooms...

  • Fuck Renata Scotto. Mrs. Miler to the Met or La Scala di Milano !

  • This woman sounded terrible in the 60s. The passing of time hasn't improved it. She was dreadful.

  • I used to have this album but I lost it. I love it, wish I could get another copy of it. FYI, it was voted "Worst album of 1966". It's so bad it's good.

  • This woman was terrible in the 60s. She still is. Bad is just plain bad!!!

  • fuck freddie mercury........ this old hag is AWESOME

  • What a champion

  • this is the first time i have actually "laughed" at a horrible song

  • as has been said, she was serious and loved what she was doing. it shows! too bad some of our present day slick studio enhanced singers don't have the same heart and soul. she was fun, and more fun.

  • @LaerdBryn Well said!!! Evrything is so serious these days and musos are such vain penis heads....she a real star!!!

  • And you thought William Hung was something!

  • Ha, haaaaa! I've just nearly pissed myself with laughing!!!!!

  • Has anybody got the album Mrs Millers sings Motorhead ?

  • It might not be everybodys cup of java but don`t tell me it`s any worse than Cilla (did you know I was mates with the Beatles) Black`s idea of singing.

  • Who wasted their time recording this joke? LOL,

  • Just goes to prove that TIMING is everything. What would Simon Cowell and the rest of the American Idol crew think of Mrs. Miller? She wouldn't last 2 bars!

  • The two notes and 1:54 & 2:09 have a great Star Trek "To boldly go where no man has gone before" quality about them. I say if you got it flaunt it, if you don't just pretend you do. Oh, woe the day I ever get her nerve in my tooth! She is the Queen!

  • Yes...I have found the lost chord, the holy grail of music.

Thanx for posting. I rarely laugh this hard!

  • Everything will be just as Wonderful!! What A Great Song!! Mrs. Miller ...Thanks for this Lovely, Happy Song!! Love You xxx

  • LOL!I nearly fell to the ground when I heard this!

  • Mrs. Miller was apparently a very nice lady who took all this very seriously. I don't know if she ever really caught on to the joke. My granmother sounded a lot like Mrs Miller, very "quavering" voice, but she had Parkinson's disease. Sure, this is crap, but just sit back, smile & enjoy a more innocent time...

  • lol. amazing

  • aye i totally pissed myself when i heard this.

  • 1:54 WOW!!

  • hahahaha....that was delightfully refreshing.

  • i love it

  • lol!!!!!

  • My sister's favorite song.

  • Dear GOD, this defies description! As a voice teacher, I don't know which thing to laugh/cringe at. It definitely comes under the "don't let this happen to you" heading!

    Thanks for a GREAT laugh!

  • Mrs Miller and Tiny Tim came out of the same stable. I would rather hear them than hear some of todays Rap Stuff at least we had fun.But it shows if you wrap it nicely there is always some fool ready to buy it.

  • the fade out is very abrupt, was that what i thought it was, the recording on the album, that is... oh boy, great record

  • I LOVE MRS MILLER! There, I said it.

  • Well said vociferous .. there's nothing wrong with Mrs Miller ..god bless her

  • I liked Mrs. Miller from the time I bought the 30th Anniversary Dr. Demento CD. It's impressive to me that she funded all of her own recordings

  • I love Mrs Miller. She kind of sounds like the Cowardly Lion from Wizard of Oz.

  • OMG! I remember her when I was a kid growing up in the 60's. She actually sold some records. Oh course no one took her seriously except in the beginning she did. If you like her try Tiny Tim or more recently William Hung.

  • mrs. miller was so great! there's no way you can listen to her and at least smile!! that, in itself is a gift!thanks mrs. M

  • What the F#@K??? LOL

  • I actually know someone who bought it for the novelty value, he is now ashamed

  • i already comment djdeitch its funny the more i lissen the more i like it lol

  • Is it Madonna's Birthday Celebration album

  • Ha Ha..ive just pissed myself,.ktf.

  • Sounds like X Factor material to me (-:

  • ha ha ha ha !!

  • Oh thanks Dave, jeezes I needed that laugh! LOL!

  • Break out the Cillit Bang!

  • Go for it girl! Now we know where Tiny Tim got his inspiration from!

  • thanks soulfan for share hahahaha i don't like this but it's funny

  • Fannytitstic x

  • This is fantastic! A Grammy for Mrs Miller please. Encore!

  • Many of you don't get it... it was her schtick!! She deliberately sounded this way an dit actually took a lot of discipline vocally to do the vibrato...probally more taxing on the voice than singing it "straight." Brava - Mrs. Miller!!

  • Err yeees. Funny, and good entertainment, but a singer? Methinks the lady was deluded. Still, all good fun.

  • Dear God. And people are seriously defending her. Vile exploitation, sorry.

  • How funny was this?? DO YOUR THANG, MRS. MILLER!!! :)

  • some singers would give their eye teeth for this lady's vocal range (sans vibrato) She nails those stratospheric high notes. She sings in "head voice" her sinuses gave a rich resonant quality to her voice (same as Striesand) - she had a natural gift- too bad it was untrained. And she was exploited in the studio- made to sound worse than she was- because her novelty sold records.

  • LOLOLOL!!....OMG!....I totally forgot about her!....GO MRS MILLER!!

  • LOLOL!!!

  • WOW!!!! I've never heard her go THAT HIGH before. My bird just woke up.. haha.

  • This sound quite horrible. Anyone agree?

  • I agree!

  • well she's got the guts doing it

  • Oh, God Bless You Mrs. Miller. Life is way too short not to take a moment and laugh and smile. On the other hand, that vibrato!

  • Mrs. Miller Rules!

  • I remember this song! Mrs. Miller, if my memory serves me correct, was a regular audience member of "The Tonight Show" with Johnny Carson in the 1960s. She got the opportunity to perform one night and the rest is just history. I recall this song having been released as a novelty single in the late Sixties and getting some airplay on our local New York radio station. I never thought I'd hear it again! Thanks!

  • I cannot believe how many Mrs. Miller songs have been posted on YouTube! After hearing this one, I discovered "Downtown" and, now that I think about it, it was a remake of that Petula Clarke hit that was her "celebrated" single.

  • LOL!! each subsequent note sent me into further hysterics....my stomach hurts! thanks!

  • it's just bad karoake .... LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I LAUGHED SO HARD LISTENING TO THIS

  • My only Comment......LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • it reminds me of that benny hill scetch when he does shirley bassey and turns around with his but crack showing and the vase breaking hehe. It's a gem!

  • strange, but good. mrs millers voice is full of energy.

  • your probably right!

  • NICE!

  • That 4 minutes of my life I wish I had back... what the hell is remotely funny about this?

  • That you sat listened for 4 minutes when it only lasts 2.26

  • I think you get the point...lame

  • Have you got any sense of humour at all?

  • Good One!!!

  • If you got your 4 minutes back, you would still waste it.

  • to itsallgood43 who says he wishes he had his four minutes back...you're on youtube for God's sake. Every minute we all spend here is a minute wasted not doing something more constructive. Yet here we are and we're not complaining(at least most of us aren't). What were you doing the other 1 minute and 76 seconds?

  • Recently Voted on my local Radio Station as,

"The Worst Record of ALL Time !!!", by a Landslide...Deservedly so....

  • Too funny ... or embarrassing.

  • Wow! At school we loved this when Kenny Everett played it every week on the radio. Great find, thanks

  • I LOVE MRS MILLER!

  • What a funny lady!!! She could have fun, making fun of herself and any song that passed through her lips. Very funny!!!!
