  • your damn right we're a danger to the government. we're going to take it down and build it back up with the constitution as our blueprints. just as the founding fathers intended. long live america! long live the resistance!

  • RESIST!!!

  • americans are waking up thank God. Doesnt surprise me they call tea party people rascist, they always pull the race card when all else is failing. that will fail too. im hispanic and support ron paul and the tea party. so as far as i am concerned this is just another ploy by the media to label ron paul supporters as "kooks" and "rascist".

  • I didn't even know Brave New Books was there, and I live here! Thanks CNN for introducing me to further resources on the resistance in my own city :D

  • Things have gotten worse than I thought.

  • long live the republic!

  • "Some" would say that government employees (all of whom swore an oath to protect the constitution and bill of rights) refusing orders that violate the bill of rights is a "recipe for anarchy"? Who are these "some"? CNN? It's just fucking adorable how they can remain "objective" if they form their ridiculous accusations as questions. So........DOES Wolf Blitzer rape babies?

  • This is isn't a Democrat vs Republican thing. Heck Tea Party was founded by Jewish people. It incorporates people from the right and left. There are Latinos, whites, blacks, Asians, and every sort ethnicity, creed, religion, and color you can imagine in that movement. What this is about is keeping the government from becoming tyrannical like Nazi Germany, Facist Italy, the Communist Bloc countries, or any other country with a system of government that is repressive and tramples over its people.

  • Don't worry CNN...thanks to the Government's technology...when the time comes, the U.S. military will easily quell any Revolutionary act and keep you nicely snugged in Tyranny.

We're living in a day in which believing in the Constitution is "kooky" and being apathetic "cool" and trendy.

  • Wag the Dog.

I believe largly these folks are uninformed and dangerous, however they do have the right to believe what it is they fall for. They have the right to believe half-truths, they have the right to be pissed off because some one sent their job to China.

I have no wish to live in a Plutocracy, nor give any more money to bankers who should be buried in a prison cell somewhere.

Big industry has it's grubby hand embedded within the Federal Government, and tossed aside with the sellouts.

  • @KingHardyon - These patriots are "uninformed?" REALLY? Perhaps, it is you who lives under the delusion and default mentality that your government is "on your side." Do yourself a favor, go to Fox News and check out their report on the U.N.'s latest meeting to discuss "GLOBAL GOVERNANCE." Also, if you don't see the TSA scanners as a threat to our 4th Amendment Rights and the X-Ray Vans purchased by the government...then my friend, it is YOU who is "uninformed."

  • @tainorebelde1 I do not claim the government is on our side, I watched the birth of the ATF as a tool of repression. They literally murdered this countries citizens deemed revolutionaries by the US Gov't.

I stand behind the separation of church-state(plutocracy) , I stand that the selling of our public officials to the highest bidder is wrong and needs to stop immediately.

TSA was born from the fear-mongering following 9-11 and never worked as far as I am concerned.

  • Patrtiots aren't dangerous to goverment. It's intended that, We the people, the Patriots ARE the government. Patriots, the last check and balance, should the seperation of powers be undermined and abused, which they clearly have. People are waking up, learning their history, and realizing how far we've fallen, and have every right to be outraged. It is not just our right, but our DUTY to abolish a corrupt system that no longer serves the best interests of its people.

  • Hey CNN, this view is at least 80% of my town and state if you want to talk some reality. I would argue that "mainstream" is whatever the propaganda machine is pumping out, which everyone knows it total horse crap. I can't wait until you guys are completely and utterly discredited. What passes as journalism these days is laughable. Sad really. Oh to see an unbiased news "report". And no I'm not a "Tea Partier".

  • More shoddy reporting from CNN. What a surprise.

  • @RodneyAHampton lol so true, '...even CNN... ' says the moderator with his tongue crammed so far into his cheek a zit popped. UGH. i thought the young lady in the book store handled herself amazingly well despite the long faced reporter looking down his nose at her. thanks for sharing rodney.

  • CNN COMMUNIST NEWS NETWORK. Read the Constitution it is not brain surgery. We The People, the 300 million are free people, not subjects, Free people are armed, disarmed people are subjects.Let freedom Ring,CNN TRYING TO MAKE MOUNTAINS OUT OF MOLE HILLS. CNN SUCKS BIG TOES

  • I don't like the tone in his voice when he says "..Sees nothing wrong with the growing number of gun toting militias in this country"

There is nothing wrong with that, WE are the militia.

  • lair

  • Please do not forget that it was Bush that enacted the Patriot Act which allowed the government to spy on you anytime, anywhere, for any reason

  • @sarabell312 That's the whole point of the movement.

Clinton's Executive order starts the wire taps, Bush expands the use, etc.

The "left" and "right" are two sides of the same coin.

  • @sarabell312 That's only because the Oklahoma City bombing didn't yield enough deaths to warrant it.

  • I can't believe they are asking this question, if they disarm Americans, then the Government won't have any problem with taking full control of the population.

we are much safer with the second amendment.

  • chyeah BRAVE NEW BOOKS!

  • When a government will bring down the people, a patriot will bring down the government.

  • what concerns me personally, is that I don't hear anyone talking about the "Enemy Belligerent, Interrogation, Detention, and Prosecution Act of 2010" submitted both in House and Senate last month.

(it makes it okay to detain US citizens without charge or trial for an undefined period of time)

It doesn't seem like a single mainstream media outlet has reported on this...including CNN...or am I wrong.

  • She is hot :) !
