  • I am working on a book about my experiences with Rolling Thunder

  • I had the great honor and privilege of meeting (only for a brief moment) this wonderful and sacred man. I had to call him for help once and I found through personal experience that all the good things written about him were indeed true. He was the real deal. God bless you, RT.

  • A Native American Indian medicine man, spiritual leader, philosopher, and acknowledged spokesman and intertribal shaman for the Cherokee and Shoshone tribes, Rolling Thunder, served as a consultant to the popular films Billy Jack (1971), and its sequel, Billy Jack II (1972). His way of life as a powerful healer, teacher, and activist gave him widespread fame following the films. Internationally known, Rolling Thunder's spiritual counsel and tribal skills .

  • This was nice to see. Grandfather Rolling Thunder and I had a bit of a friendship over the phone in the last several years of his life, and he was most kind in taking the time to discuss life and spiritual medicine ways with this young part-Cherokee seeker. I'm blessed to have had the opportunity to speak with him, and I recommend the book ROLLING THUNDER (by Doug Boyd) to anyone who wishes to learn of this man's remarkable life and legacy.

  • Thank you. Glad some other people know of this man.

  • "Playing in the Band" was the child of Mickey Hart's Solo Album, "Rolling Thunder" Most folks know of the Song.

This is the Man for whom the Album was named, and who Speaks the Shoshone Invocation on the Album.

You may recognize Him from the movie "Billy Jack" which he shared part in production and Instruction.

Great Man, Great Book by Doug Boyd.

  • nice talk, but if you look up the history of native indians then you realize that they were in constant war among themselves

  • Wow, I didn't know someone got a video of him. I call him a friend and a "Sane Person" . I had some very interesting experiences with him and I am working on a book about it. He appeared magical, but he worked within the laws of nature. He said we are all capable, and to take our power back. I am looking for his wife. Please send me a note I would like to talk to you.

  • I first heard Rolling Thunder speak his good words on listener-sponsored public radio, KPFK, Los Angeles. The show was Something's Happening, hosted by Roy of Hollywood.

KPFK eschews corporate money. It survives solely on listeners who purchase a yearly share of the expenses. Good station and good people.

  • more from the holy one please namaste, ho
