I find in most comedy-media today, if its a white person saying something racist, its almost always a Jew or written by a Jew. Jews have always made a buck off racism, also gaining more acceptance by pointing out the differences of others. I'm watching Al Jolson and the Jews and this is one of the most fascinating videos on race relations that I have ever seen. This should be viewed during Black History month. I am African-American and also of Jewish descent as our slave holders were Jewish! Ever heard of that? Most people are shocked that Jews owned slaves in the South. Genetic testing of our own family, and many families like ours, has revealed that we possess what are considered "the crucial genes"/"the advantageous alleles". This is true for almost all Jews, everywhere. We are a distinct group, regardless of our looks or enculturation (and whether or not we are religious).

Michael Alexander's book, and what he says in this video, are full of inaccuracies. His facts about Minstrelsy, Blackface, Blackface in Cinema, Pop Music, and the entertainment industry are very inaccurate. He's also biased about excusing Blackface when it's performed by Jews.

There's a MUCH BETTER BOOK titled "BLACK LIKE YOU" by John Strausbaugh, that is much better and accurate.

I disagree with the Whiteness Studies too. I was raised in a home where Jews and Blacks were to be equally respected, because basically we were both in the same boat! Both having been slaves historically and both having been persecuted, perhaps a bit more persecuted than many groups.

It's a shame people even have to perceive things the way they do, instead of just enjoying the melding of cultures aswellas the differences! Good analytical work, and worth the work involved.
