That looks like an excellent set up there. Nice cars too. It must be great fun modelling the scenery! I have a scalextric digital set, but somtimes it looses connection. Do you have any tips?

I solder every rail to parallel rail for 90% of my track pieces. Damn, i need to send you a photo to explain properly :)

Yes, that orange mini cooper pace car was upset for being de-slotted by the marshal but that's the unpredictability of digital slot car racing :)

sadly no, but you can improvise with a rubber band or something similar

WOW!!! I'm a big fan of scalextric and i was wondering where i could buy the 6-car powerbase that you have, but below £130 because thats all i can afford! I love the caravan and I am hoping to get that too! please could you send me the link for the 6-car powerbase with pace car setting with is under £130, thanks so much

there are 3 on ebay at the moment which are going for less than £60.

The bid for a 6 car powerbase usually ends up being £90-110 I think. Do Not Order the powerbase from Jadlam, it's not released yet, and you might have to wait until 2010, if not later. Scalextric keep delaying its release. Also, make sure you get powersupply for the powerbase. It's a different power supply to the 4 car powerbase.

For all the best info, go to "slotforum international" forum. I highly recommend it.

...but the caravan bashing was accidental, the cars were running automatically, nobody was controlling them (they were all set to pace cars)

You can get the pace cars to randomly change lanes if you wish (in case you didn't know)

Nice, but I never was too keen on the LMP class. I'd prefer these: c2904 - Maserati MC12, c2711 - Jaguar XKRS, c2790 - Aston Martin DBR9, or any of the JGTC range (Honda NSX, Toyota Supra & Nissan Skyline).

The imported Australian V8 Touring cars are nice, but pricey and hard to get hold of.

Most of my collection are late '90 BTCC Touring cars. Mondeo, Laguna, Vectra, 406, that sort of thing. (Should be on SF somewhere).
