  • Thats pure American muscle sound right there. Beautiful Car ! Cheers..

    Wayne

  • So what's the price?

  • This car beats the Mustang in style and performance. If I can go on, it can also beat the charger also. And just for the fun of it, it can beat it's self in a race, which would be a tie. Darn it, the Corvette C3 is cool, stylish, fun, fast, & awsome.

  • ohhhhhh that SOUND goes straight to my heart

  • The C3 Corvette was the Best Looking car ever made. Unique Style. Always stood out from the crowd!

  • First time I saw corvette summer as a kid, I fell in love with corvettes

  • im speechless!!!!

  • This car is just a Huge Orgasm <3

  • love that rumble nice sound

  • Gorgeous-Love that Big-Block hood.

  • Crank up those speakers on your computer! This baby is playing my song!

  • how much do these go far??

  • @k3lvinc02 "how much do these go far?"

The top sale price recently on the 454 corvettes on eBay was $27,500.00. I also saw some asks for $50, $65, and $130 thousand.

  • @fenderstrat71 picky...

  • My god this car is a BEAST

  • seriously, tears come to my eyes! such a beauty

  • better than sex

  • I'd kill for one of these damn things! I don't see why people would rather have some gold rimmed cadillac these days instead of this.

  • @bowie136 That's so 2004. Everyone I know talks about the classics and the new muscle cars.

  • like it !! I fucking LOVE IT

  • MY FUCK SHE SOUNDS GOOOD!!

  • window tint looks like shit

  • I out ran one of these with my 66 goat.

  • @scottsrfun lol GTO?

  • just can not fault it, from looks to sound, how proud U must be to own this babe

  • God DAMN that sounds beautiful.

  • HOW MUCH YOU ASKING FOR THE VETTE

  • love it !

  • 390hp LS5 or 450hp LS6? Lumpy idle

  • How much did you get it for?

  • FLAWLESS! (i want to lick it)

  • @gavin8ter ROFL!

  • I'll take this over a C5-C6 any day. Hate the new vette style, back end is too high and looks like the rear was just cut off.

  • a buddy of mine sold a 71 kind of like this one to buy a 1991 ZR1 Why? Why? Why? not dissing the ZR1 but cmon this is a classic

  • @Mig25foxhound I don't know if I could sell that car if I owned it but I was shopping for a 70's Vette and ended up buying an 85 because the handling was a century ahead of the C3 cars. I love the one I have now but would I trade it in for maybe a 200? ZO6.... yeah, probably.

  • loved the ending... ahh

  • im a bit drunk and that sound is AWSOME ! :D <3 its like music a club on its own :D

  • brings back memories of my dad's 72 stingray convertable.. God damn these cars were some of if not the best cars ever. Your friend is a lucky man

  • beautiful

  • The car is very nice....but tinted window's on a classic!???....NO!

  • oh no. I totally disagree. Yes, this is an absolutely beautiful, sexy car. But whenever you have a vette, The windows HAVE to be tinted. Having the window's tinted gives it that pure, sexy look.

  • Why did I sell my 71?

  • But the black windows, no.

  • ...I'm jealous. That is just perfect. Everything, the wheels, the color, the engine. I would love to have one of these amazing cars.

  • Im embarrassed to ask this but I cant seem to find an answer anywhere. What is the difference between a 76 stingray and 76 stingray L48? What does the L48 mean?

  • The 76 model included two engine options. The L48 was the standard/base engine and produced 180hp. Buyers could opt for the L82 which was rated at 120 hp. Both are 350 cubic inches.

When you see a Corvette listed as

1976-L48 or 1976-L82 you will now understand the displacement under the hood.

  • @carbon4me ok ok thank you very much. Now it all makes sence

  • @carbon4me I think you got a typo in that L-82 horsepower rating....you mean 210?

  • That is not very much power for 350CI, it seems. I mean, considering that a Challenger with 340 four-bbl made 275 in 1970, I imagine these 350s you're talking about are way, WAY de-tuned (for the classic mid-70s emissions and insurance reasons, probably). Am I wrong?

  • You are correct that mid-70's were de-tuned because of emissions. These are beautiful rides but underpowered for a Vette.

  • @Namssorg1 L48 is the base engine. L-82 was optional.

  • Very clean

  • i think there is a red one of these in front of a little garage in my town, and i think it is for sale. any help about what i should look for/what i should pay will be greatly appreciated. i am in high school so i dont have alot of cash. thanks for any help!

  • That thing has a nice lumpy cam in it. My favorite year of the C3 by far.

  • It's art and music to my hears all in one.

  • OMG!!! that car is BEAUTIFUL!!! I want to own one just like this someday. with the rack on the back and the big block chevy and body style....this car is just immaculate

  • Wow, a Washington State Corvette!!! I bought my first Corvette in Spokane back in 1973....it was a Silver Metalflake '65 Stingray Convertible with a 327 / 4 speed. (It came from Tulsa and was part of the "Tusla Vette Set") I've had 7 more since then and currently own 2 now. Once you've had one, you can't get them out of your blood. During the few time periods I didn't have one, I actually DREAMED ABOUT DRIVING THEM (at night), missing them!!! Only Vette owners know what I'm talking about!

  • You sound like a 'Vette enthusiast. As well am I! Question though, do you ever go to the Corvettes at Carlisle event every year?

  • one word.....beautiful

  • about 2 miles away from my house one of my neighbors has a old stingray and i want to see how much they want for it. it has been there since i was 10 or younger im about to turn 20

  • Its just like the one I bought when I was 17 it was a LS5 with a M20 wide ratio that I changed to a M22 close ratio with 3.08 rear gears. It too was the Mulsane Blue with the Bright Blue interior. Mine hauled azzzz like that.

  • how much you want for it?

  • Is it an LS6 (450hp)? Got a lumpy idle. Doesn't sound like the 390hp LS5

  • Fucking Gorgeous...!

Pure Sex on 4 wheels.. thats what she is .

  • HOLY SHIT!!!

  • Did you just jizz yourself?

  • ls5 baby

  • nice condition

  • Just put them in your butt...they'll fit

    Your stupid

  • That car is SICK!!! Purrs like a hungry kitten! BEAUTIFUL!!!!

  • thats the raddest car

  • God that is amazing

  • love this car just more than the callaway c4

  • what does this car cost?

  • lucky...

  • Dooh dooh dooh dooh dooh dooh.....makes me horny...

  • i want your car and everything it

  • friend had a 71 .I got to drive it once .....then he ruined it with a 454 tunnel ram and steep gears, then put a 350 back in it and got it repoed.....just found it again after 20 years.......

  • To all you import guys...where were all your Hondas,Nissans, Toyotas back in the days this car was new?? Nowhere to be found...respect the fact that the Corvette has been around longer than most sports cars we know and love nowadays...even the 911 was a nobody back then, not to mention the Viper and a few Lambos and Ferraris....whether you like them or not, honor it for what it's been and still is...a great sports car..and they can still hold their own with the world's best!!

  • very true

back in the day Cadillac was the standard of the world..

and American muscle was the fastest around.

until the damn emission laws came into play and big blocks died out except for the old beasts.

  • Oh the jap cars were around but just didn't last that long. Thats why you never see an old jap car. Their quality was terrible and they were slow and undesirable. Guess GM has been making quality for a long time and made cars back then that lasted.

  • A lot of these "older" GM cars and such are collectable, and were a lot more valuable then the "jap" cars back in the day. Which would you take care of, a beater civic to drive around, or a sports car (corvette). I actually do see old "jap" cars, and a friend of mine just completed a 1976 civic restoration. Dont think I dont like american muscle though, check out my vid in my profile.

  • Awesome, but the blacked-out windows don't work on this. They should be lightly tinted.

  • I agree to that! the car seems to be totally original .. even the wheels, and that's why I think the tinted windows don't fit in the picture!

But still this is my dream car .. chrome Vette, right colour, right engine ... Simply looks GREAT!! ... and yes, I'm jealous!! ;)

    Nice car!!!!

  • I agree with this statement :D

  • @kjetilB71 WAT!!! THE TINT MAKES THE CAR EVEN MOR3E SEXIER. I AGREE I AM JEALOUS ASWELL

  • Jealous

  • Ahh the 70 Vet, bought one brand spanking new in 1970 cost me $7200. Silver grey, 350-350 went into hock up to my ears to get it but did i have fun with it for 6 years. Worth every penny I paid for it wish I still had it.

  • I need 30k so I can buy the same car, but in 'vert form.

  • UNREAL!!

  • i think im in love!!!!!!!!

  • Fast + beautiful = 5/5 *****

  • B-E-A-Utiful! wonderful car!! just with i had the money for one of these! (not to mention the insurance and fuel bill!)

  • My neighbor has one of these. It is a little lighter blue than this one.

  • ive just put a 1970 454 LS5 into a roll-caged, sub-framed, 1969 Pontiac Acadian.

this is my 1st real muscle car.

its got a fully forged steel rotating assembly.

Headman headers (no exhuast yet) is now on electric fuel pump and is HEI electronic ignition. a top end rebiuld about 3600 K ago with a mildly lumpy cam. the transmissions bellhousing says " C 4 * " i dont know what it is. anyone know what that is? and what my car may really be like?

  • couldnt u atleast show us da inside

  • my dream car... someday my dear we will drive down interstate 78 and turn the heads of all

  • these weren't that fast compared to todays cars. o=60 in 7 seconds. heavy for a corvette.

  • back then they were.. and sound a hell of lot better than todays cars

  • It's hard for me to believe but has anyone out there read the article in Hemmings Muscle Machines that feature a 1972 Dodge Polara CHP car and this is a big heavy car with a 440 727 torque Flite trans with the performance as follows:

    0-60 6,7 seconds

    1/4 mile 15.2 sec. at 92 mph

    top speed 140

They said this car could hang with any car of the day and was made to not just hit 140mph but to maintain that speed.

Could this catch a 454 Corvette?

  • Dont forget that back in the days, these cars had a VERY bad traction due to their skinny bias-ply tires! .. you could easily lose 2-3 seconds while burning the rubbers while shiftig into gears! .. I have a stock LS5 454 corvette and I can easily hit 60 MPH in 5 seconds.

  • Not much that could touch a 70 LS5 back then.

Only one documented report was from Road & Track using an AC, Automatic 3.08 geared car. Not your optimum set up. and the car Top out at 145MPH!! Not too bad

Similar test of 1972 and 1973 LS4's with the much lower compression 8.5 were running high 13's and 5.6 secs with better gearing and 4sp. A 1970 454 LS5 is a rattler and would have decimated it's brethren and able to take all comers! ;)

  • you cant go wrong with a big block

  • sharp ride

  • Awesome car, very hard to beat a 70 454 LS5 in a Vette. Even the LS6 Chevelle would have a tough time against this machine as it carry approx 300-400 more weght. Do another vid!! Don't see too many of these anymore

  • put a 572 in the beast

  • eww wdude gross wtf is wrong with ur friend tell him to take off the dam racks

  • Love the chrome bumper and sugar scoop window years

  • how much did you pay for it ?

  • I like the vette

  • It is so SILLY that in 1970 they put the LS-6 engine in the Chevelle, and not the Corvette ! Chevy, shame on you !! I dislike the fact that a Chevelle is faster than Corvettes. They put the LS-6 engine in the 1971 Corvette, but tamed and detuned to only 425hp. There SHOULD have been a 1970 LS-6 Corvette ! The 1970 LS-7 should have also been produced. The Corvette was cheated in 1970. Chevy, you should be ashamed !!

  • Wow dude calm down. Which top model was faster? Vette. And GM will always make sure that the Vette will always be faster than internal competition - take for instance the Camaro today, well, the Z06 rocks it.

Oh yeah, the engineers at Corvette built the first small block 427, which is the Z06 of today, nice!!!

  • I own a Bridgehampton Blue 1970 Corvette 454 LS-5. My 1970 Corvette is a Danbury Mint model.

  • Did it come stock with the 454?

  • yes

  • thats a very nice car right there sir, nice vid

  • its sex on 4 wheels :) beuty X)

  • Okay. I officially have an erection.

My favorite incarnation of the Stingray: a 454 big block.

  • i had one just like it 4 years ago brought her back from troronto to halifax nova scotia, 1800 road milers, made the trip in 13 1/2 hours, including the 5 hour ferry ride (cops couldent ticket what they couldent see!)

  • ya right 4 years ago -dream on- that makes this 1 of 3 things that at 16 you had allot of money or it was a piece of shit or you are dreaming

  • nice car mate i am so jealous they are a nice car but one of my favorites is the 1969 shelby mustang you cant really compare much but yer i love the 1970 stingray. how much did he pay fothe car?

  • Is this your name? Nice to meet you.

  • It is make me me total crazy!!!

  • beautiful car it's absolutely amazing. take a top view of a c3 vette and lay a chick on her back they look the same. curvy and sexy. (they also cost a fortune).

  • me want lol

  • awesome!!! I love it!

  • uhh no Kud4u

in 1970, the 427 was bore and stroked to 454ci. and called the LS5, stock hp was 390 and 450 footpounds of torque. the ls6 in that year was rated much higher, but did a trap speed of 106 mph. suggesting that its more like 370 hp.

  • That year the LS6 wasn't in the Corvette, it was only available in the Chevelle. 1971 Corvette got the LS6.

  • Close dude - 500 foot-pounds. and let's not forget 10.25:1 compression...

  • lol he almost sounded like he new what he was talkin about

  • super sound..

  • nice the 454 in 70 was actually called the ls7 460 hp hell yes ...sounds nice

  • Markku Go Go!!!

  • I really don't understand those luggage racks. They ruin the look and who buys a Corvette to haul shit around in anyway?

Awesome car anyway, I'm still jealous.

  • RcColanator, ever gone away for the weekend in a 70 Vette? Try it, then you will understand the luggage rack. There aint room for squat inside a 70 Vette! I have a shot of the inside luggage area in my video "Dave's 540 Camaro & Corvette".

  • 540merlin, hah, no, unfortunately I cannot yet say that I have tried that yet. That day is fast approaching though! I love your cars, man, you're living the dream.

  • thanks!

  • I think it makes it look like some kind of unusual utilitarian spoiler. I like it for some reason.

  • I disagree. I have a 77 vette without racks and I have a sound system in the back. When I put the t-tops away I have to rearrange everything cause they barely fit...it sucks!!!.

  • Wow, same color and options as mine! But that's an auto, no? Great cars.

heartlessq8 - one in original, good condition goes for about $28k in California...

  • how much does the 72`s cost? if its in very good condition?

  • my favorite cars by far...Gettin one soon probably a 96

  • buena maquina!!! donde puedo conseguir uno a buen precio?

  • yo quero taco bell?

  • no entiendo tu pregunta, puedes formularla de otra manera? gracias!

  • I can't get enough of this vid !! That is beautiful. I have a '72 vette and a '69 vette. I believe firmly that the most beautiful and desirable vettes were from '69 to '72 :)

  • i'm in love thats y i have one only its a 71 same Dayton Blue though

  • beautiful. i'd have one in black please, manual shift.

  • great year but i think the 1963 roadster was better

  • the style of the c3 corvette is well before its time, and its the only muscle car that actually got better looking after the emission's law!

I think that the c3 is he most beautiful car ever (and so was the XKE)

  • i want one of those

  • beautiful and classic, straight and simple.

  • beast

  • i should know this but i dont..... did 70 vettes come with the ls6 or just the ls5? either way great power for such a small car

  • 1970 vettes came with only the LS5 engine for the big block. The LS6 was only available in one year, in 1971 along with the LS5.

  • Then there is the ultra rare DL1 700hp 540CID. Not many people know about that engine option.
