My Dad ODIE STANTON (lead Guitar) played on the Opry with Bobby. If you Google Odie Stanton you will see a old archive advertisement from the local News Paper in Nashville. This was in August 1961.
I met bobby and his wife in muskegon mich. at great lakes downs he was in the same barn we were in. he played a little once in a while we actually claimed a horse off him named grey goose.
Ok there are two coments below second down is the first they kept telling me I was typing to much so that's why it turned out this way. Again thanks Richey...............................Jerry Guy
Jerry, I agree about the big jam session! Just let me know when and where! I just got home from the Strawberry Festival. Dad and I got up and played with the Dennis Lee Show. Dad sang a song and got a standing ovation. It was alot of fun!
Take Care My friend and before I go my self and Mickey Adams thanks that we need to have big big JAM and get together for all the musicians around the Tampa Bay area soon,
I had watched this before and its great. I set here and put my self back in that time and remembering all the good times and the pickers I had grew up with. I was raise up in the Town n, Country area my dad had a fuel oil business called Guy's Fuel Oil Service, man what a time. And your dad Bobby Hodge had the look and voice plus the band. Thanks for putting this video up for all us old people now. PLEASE READ THE NEXT PART UP THERE
