@6789out Thanks for the listen my friend. Yes, My Dad was a truckdriver for over 40 years. He's nearly 80 now and still talks about it. I must have heard every trucking tune ever made growing up. He made sure of that.
An interesting old song sung excellently - you sound a bit like Elvis - the sound is great too, like an old record.
If the pinball machine were pokies. the narrator "shot up his doe" by injecting heroin and his best friend told him his wife and kids were now living with him, well, that'd just about update the words to echo a commonplace modern times series of problems perhaps. Great old song though and any other rare ones such as this one would sure be interesting to hear more of.
Great song! And you sound wonderful, friend! You came up with special pictures again! And that instrument looks just like the one I play in my songs! I have to go ask you about that right now....
That was so cool how you captured an old western feel here, country western style song and singing! That was great Winston!! You have a standout voice for sure! Great singing and love the simple style rhythm playing and song. The pics give it an old time feel too. I really enjoyed this performance like all of yours my bro! :)) All the many stars and all the best!
winston, this is great my friend,You are such a great addition to you tube, just down to earth, excellent voice, fantastic video,it don't get no better brother.God bless you-5*****Faved.-Jerry
Whew, Sir Winston, you're ability to sing and play so many different styles is amazing! Each posting leaves me wondering what you'll come up with next to top it, and sure enough, you always do. Here's to backpakers, truckers, and long suffering wives, wherever they are (I figure the pinball machines can look after themselves). - Mark
Wow that hits hard!! I've never heard this song before. You sounded great on this song. Love your pickin. But I'm going to be depressed now. So sad.I think sometimes us guys don't have their heads screwed on just right. Thanks for the new song.
