@IllyriPower If you want to be precise, it is VIII century, not XII. Serbia was promoted to kingdom in early XIII century, and lost the territory of Kosovo in the end XIV century.
First Albanian state, Principality of Arber, was formed in XII century, almost 4 centuries after the first Serbian state and did not include Kosovo. There were no known states, as far as I know, on the territory of Kosovo before the arrival of Slavs. I might be wrong, but please provide some reading resources, if so.
