What isn't contradiction in this? He gave his mercy and his love to be nailed to a cross in order to give us life. Have we been washed in the blood of the lamb? Its all backward logic. Fear equaling love. Love equaling death. God equaling sacrifice and murder. Contr-a-diction as you say.
Death equaled death. Redundancy? Absolutely. We chose death. Thus that was the cost. Anything less would be insufficient.
The contradiction here is not inconsistency here in God's actions. It's that our choice made for His death; and THAT is grace.
Grace and Mercy imply contradiction. Us receiving what we do not deserve is contradiction. Us NOT receiving what we most certainly deserve is contradiction. Grace will always be surprising.
Death is not real in any way. It seems real because we view bodies, but either way you look at death from a Christian view, the soul survives for heaven, hell or purgatory. Ergo=no death.
There are no contradictions in God, just in man and man made belief.
Mercy means fear, because mercy implies punishment. Grace is open to interpretation.
Receiving what we deserve is a contradiction, because it implies, in this context, that God is less than love and less than perfection.

I don't know where you stand with God, but I sure hope you accept the gift of eternal life God so wants to give you. He made the proposal you just have to say yes.

what an awesome piece... the message of the song plus the clippings selected were really beautiful... when Jesus died on that cross, truly it was more than enough. let's not take our salvation for granted, for it cost Jesus His life so we can have it for free. we should have been the one nailed on that cross.. we are the sinners, not Christ, but He gave His all anyway... for you and me. what an awesome Savior! thank you for this video..
