Dude your an abso-lute legend, three of the best Horslips songs ever..... I been browsing the net for some guitar pro tabs to help me learn some horslips, ya wouldnt perhaps be able to poingt me in the right direction??
You should make more videos. I really enjoyed this one but it is so good that I want to hear more. You should make a whole CD. Or several of them. You should be famous. I would pirate your music in an instant. Hell I'd even consider paying real money for it.
That is something else! Excellent, just exccellent - when I was at university ion the late 70s, my friends and I were all into Horslips in a big way - a superb, underrated band. Love that guitar sound you have there - and the harmony bit around 45 sec sounds dercidedly "Lizzy-ish"
Man, that was brilliant - more more more....Please!
Hiya cogsinister100. Yup yer right there on the Melos unit. I got it from a chap who usta roadie 4 a band I was with. He was doin' the rounds back in 50s! + yerself m8? btw Howiya Nino + ta'! UniGTR+++%
I bought my Melos in the late 70's when we had a synth band back in Manchester UK....we coulden't afford a Roland space echo....so the little Melos had to do,....they were awesome untill the tape started to wear out and the head was all clogged up....i have no idea what become of mine..........
And like you Uni, I'm quite busy as well. I got a job, girlfriend, and dog to juggle around.
But no worries, this gives me something to do in my spare time. Once I get it totally worked out I'll post a break down of King of the Fairies and possibly the other ones. After all, I love Celtic Style music.
Where can I find how to play it, that is one of the most awesome sounding songs I've heard on guitar.
And I tried to study this video unfortunately your fingers move too quick and I can't see what strings your on, I guessed and only got bits and pieces.
re: ShvenWonk 1 - thanks 4 the post and asking for more info on the tune. Unfortunately I don't have the free time at the moment to do an in depth breakdown of this piece. HOWEVER I would strongly suggest to you to learn the piece by ear! This is easily the best way to approach this - I can't stress that enough ... (cont)
re: ShvenWonk 2 ... (cont) You also have a distinct advantage of seeing whereabouts each part is played on the neck - this is a big advantage to have. Combine it with the ear training, persist with it and you will gain A LOT regarding learning the instrument - cheerz. UniGTR+++%
re: pramseyer - Howiya! Sorry I don't have tab for that. U can find it on the net, altho not great any I seen, but they might give u what u need. I suggest stick with the cluas + study the vid :). UniGTR+++%
re:TomMcCool5 - Well who can do Johnny Fean better than Johnny Fean himself? And who's trying to do Johnny Fean better than Johnny Fean himself? Not me :). Ta 4 the post, UniGTR+++%
PS bet you could do some brill versions of Big Country tracks (no not the bagpipe guitars of their first album!), Stuart Adamson was surely one of the most underrated guitarists ever.
re: PaddyGoo - Yup I love Stewart Adamson's work - I was sad to hear about him. I only found out relativley recently cos I live in Switzerland and the news escaped me - I couldn't believe it :(. Thanx 4 the post. P.S. Oh I have 2 say I love their 1st album, och aye :). UniGTR+++%
My god that was excellent, in fact I'll have to say I prefer your Trouble With A Capital T intro over the Horslips' flute original - I'm in awe, do hope you are not wasting yourself just playing alone at home.
Love Irish music played on electric guitar (Lizzy were a favourite band and Gary Moore when he dabbled). Many thanks, will favourite this and show my mates.
Yea.. I remember been at one of their gigs,I must of been about 1972 in Red Island Skerries, I was about 12 years old, Don't know how I got in to the gig, but I'll never forget it.. Pure Magic is all I can say.. UniGTR does them justice
Does anyone know how to record the sound from a streaming video and save it (as an MP3 or soething)? I would like to save this in my music list! It would save me from going to youtube and watching the video all the time.
You can use a program like Windows movie maker to record streaming audio... but first you have to open 'file'and select 'import into collections',then select some random video clip that's on your hard drive... it doesn't matter. Select 'narrate timeline' which looks like a little microphone... and then select 'stereo mix' as the 'Audio Input Device'... then select 'start narration' and start playing your streaming audio.... I hope it helps... it seems like more rambling...
I figured out how to use windows sound recorder to by going into the audio proprties and clicking the 'stereo mix' option like you said. Everything esle I didn't get though. ow I have to convert the .wav to a .MP3
Whoa! You're so cool! ^-^ I'm so addicted to your guitar playing! I never get tired to listening to this over and over again. You should post more clips! Awesome guitar playing
After watching this video like 25 times I still think that it's abso-fucking-lutely incredible. If there was a sound to represent ecstasy, this would be it. (the feeling not the drug, just a note for all you junkies)
