Both cars are great. I love audi and bmw. So dont say one of these cars shit because they are amazing machines. However in my opinion i would go for the e92 m3. Its also my favorite car. Also i do prefer BMW over audi thats just my opinion.

I respect amg alot, they have a very rich history but I find that they aren't getting the appropriate HP out of their engines and are relying to much on turbo and superchargers to get a good amount of horsepower out of them. The m3's 4.0 liter V8 gets 414 bhp thats over 103 hp per liter while the 6.2 liter V8 produces 457hp which is about 73hp per liter. With that type of displacement (which to me seems far too big for a V8, much like the americans are doing) it should get atleast 580hp or more.

Not because of higher revs, because of weight and loss of WHP due to AWD. Both C63 and Ms are significantly lighter. However an RS4 in the states has been trimmed to 3500lbs and is doing insane 3.8 sec 0-60 now. 3500lbs is about what the M3 comes in at. The C63 just has a huge engine displacement and uses torque not revs. It has a lower redline than the Audi and BMW.

Hi Guys, i own both cars...in standard form the M3 is a little quicker however the RS4 is a much better alroud car..My RS4 has Miltek Exhaust now and has been re mapped.. its now much quicker than the M3 infact much quicker than my brothers M6. The M3 is more track designed i think, more hardcore, The RS4 is more forgiving and on the road will make the BMW look stupid.. RS4 not very good on track when to hot......hope that helps all..

No they are not. M3 owned the RS4 despite the RS4 cheating and getting a 2 car length head start. M3 still caught up an murdered the RS4. M3 owns the RS4 both in the drag race and around a race track. Refer to Top Gear and M3 lapped the race track in 5 seconds faster than the RS4 and Stig complained about how badly it understeers when pushed to the limits. That is huge! RS4 was a lot better than the old E46 M3, but now the new M3 is leagues better than the RS4.

I've leaped a car length on an e92 in a stock '00 jetta gls. It's how you drive, not the car. A straight line really proves nothing imo. A car with more power accelerated faster then one with less. Turning...now that is where i believe the m3's power to be. There are a ton of factors that contribute to a car's handling over a car's acceleration. The Audi is a great car, setting a ton of benchmarks and, imo, the m3 finally caught up. Its like the video I saw with a turbo fd3s owning an rsx.
