Thankyou for the demonstration! So much printed material make out that there is only one right way to hold the neck, and if it is done differently, it is wrong. I recently had to "make up" a hand position for a 4 finger chord (c7 down the neck in DGBD on a tenor guitar) and felt a little guilty as I felt like I was "breaking" the proper rules. Yet your second position was exactly what I was doing! :D
@TinfootTall Glad to be of help. My opinion is that if the hand position is not causing pain or other problems, it is probably OK to use it that way. Comfortable and efficient! I am fine with that!
