my dad is bermudian so i go there every summer i have to say it is nice but it is getting worst with shooting and things..guns are illegal there that even police officers dont walk around with them..but the people are nice

Well, I have to say that's too bad. We went last March and were a bit disappointed. Came back, as I said, last week, and loved it. A very beautiful island! Good people. If you want some tips about visiting it and where to stay, let us know

hi i,ve just applyed for a hairdressing job in bermuda spoke to a british lady over the phone who was really nice. if i pass the interview in london i really am considering going over they to work. is it easy to meet people and safe for a 24 yr old female well travelled street wise type of girl xx

You know, it is a very safe place. Just came back!

Of course there's crime. Where isn't there. But it's clean and safe and lovely. I don't know about meeting people, but I hear it's easy because of the pubs and beaches and just the good weather that keeps people out.

Well, you know, there is crime pretty much everywhere don't you think? I would say from what we've seen, that there is a lot less crime in Bermuda than a lot of other places. The police are very strict.

Uniq1uk that is a freaking lie. I am from Bermuda, so stop lying. Yes in recent years there has been some murders less that the USA but it was with locals. Tourist does not get raped and murdered very often at all. So stop the sh*t!

I like Bermuda better than Hawaii. Closer, safer, friendlier, smaller, less expensive....and more picturesque. I've been there 7 times and I'm not finished.  Truly the BEST island destination anyone could choose.

Well, let's say it's relatively crime free. Every destination has crime, but we still believe that Bermuda is more crime free than most!

Yeah, but the architecture the English and French left in the Caribbean was pretty unimpressive bleak stuff. No one came close to the Spanish on that sense, just look at Havana or Old San Juan. You don't see anything like that on Jamaica or any former English island.

Hello !!! Juan Bermudez discovered Bermuda....SPANISH.  Please don't compare Bermuda to San Juan. Bermuda is much nicer and cleaner and NO crime.

The Spanish may have discovered it, like they also discovered Jamaica or Haiti but that does not mean they ever settled. You know Bermuda is British. It's cleaner n saver; that's good, but that does not take away what I previously said. The French & English never did in the Caribbean as much as what the Spanish did in Old San Juan or specially in Havana. Sadly it's now destroyed under communism but back in its capitalistic glory no one even cared about the rest of the Caribbean.

San Juan is aweful. Believe me I own a travel agency and travel to San Juan compared to other Leeward destinations is down 30%. To much crime and poverty. Stick to Bermuda, Grand Cayman, Saba, Barbados, Antigua
