great video. ive been an islanders fan since 1976. growing up in tulsa we only had minor league hockey but i became an islanders fan when i saw dennis potvin on the battle of the stars. bryan trottier would become my all time favorite player. you probably wont hear trottiers name mentioned among the greats but his play speaks volumes. long career and his name on the stanley cup numerous times proves he was one of the greats and was underrated even though he was mvp in 1978.

I nevert knew this, and it makes me look at Tiger Williams in a different light. He always seemed like a cold, sarcastic, crude person, but this is a gesture of true affection.

Trotts was my Mother's favorite player, growing up on the Island 10 minutes from the Coliseum as an 8 year old when they first won the cup was a real treat. I remember everyone honking horns and my Mother being really happy. That was a special team, not only because they won, but because they gave back to the Island with charity.
