have you ever dobe a whellie jump they are the funnest i think i am playing mario kart coin battle i just lost i don't see why i lost because i had 25 coins!! but my team had a toatl of 50 my oppent had 55
One cool thing I saw someone else do on Thomp Desert and started copying is tricking during the ripples, as they're just like the ripple areas on tracks like Maple Speedway and Rainbow Road. It gives you enough speed to still get an item while everybody else is reeling.
Of course, that only works when you're driving straight toward the center going at full speed. Believe me, I tried to trick, but it seems I wasn't going fast enough or I was going in the wrong directions.
Nope, I've actually been able to use it to go across in a path that didn't lead me into the Thwomp, or perhaps I just was turning as I tried to trick and landed in such a way to help me arc out.
I have a pretty good strategy for Thwomp Desert, but it's kind of risky.
You grab an item box, and when you've got a banana/fake box, plant it right on the edge of the hole. This way, if someone hits it, they spin into the hole, resulting in quite a bit coin losses, or 2 balloon losses if you play balloon battle. It can backfire, as I fell in the hole multiple times -.- But it does really work
I've never been to Thwomp Desert before, but it appears the ripples from Thwomp push everyone back and suck the coins in making it a struggle to get anything. I don't think any of the regular tracks do that.
That Bowser player at Funky Stadium had an interesting strategy. It was like he was playing a waiting game. It didn't accomplish much as he lost all of his balloons.
I like the idea behind your experiment. Good luck with it. The scoring system is cool. It forces you to stay consistant.
The Item Boxes also seem to get pulled in, forcing you to take risks to get stuff done. There's a hole in the middle where the Thwomp's shadow is, by the way.
That Bowser didn't accomplish much also because Item Boxes no longer appear on top of a player, it seems. He had to move out of the way, and his slow acceleration makes him vulnerable to stuff like Bob-ombs.
I like how when your flattened, your bananas are flat too ^_^

I suppose it's because I wasn't at full speed then. It's hard to reaccelerate on the ripples.

True, true.

Interesting. It's indeed risky, since the Thwomp comes down at random times.

Still nice, and that Funky Stadium looked SWEET.
Just wondering, what is BR, exactly?

It stands for "Battle Ranking," I think.
