@Woopycushiun LOL it's not made up it's in the root of the WORD! It's etymology!
u honestly think i'm just making up what i like
LOOOOOOOOOL
u can even break it this way: if i avoid you, i am in 'avoidance' of you. If i ignore you, i am in ....'ignorance' of you!
everything mkes more sense when u look at things this way: thats why innocence is seen as a good thing. Society bcomes corrupt when ignorance is mistaken for it.
it's literally impossibe to be innocent otherwise.
@natmanprime typo bro cool down. someone if some one is IGNORING you that is their state of being, they aren't in a state of ignorance. One CANT be ignorant if they are ignoring something because ignorance is defined (the link was a meriam webster link)
- having *no* knowledge or education b : having *no* knowledge or understanding of a certain thing
-2 : *not informed : UNAWARE * if you are ignoring something you are indeed aware of that thing
@Woopycushiun "in a state of ignoring" do u know how stupid that sounds? LOL cant u see ur twisting it to suit your way of thinking because of cultural pressure i'm just going along with simple logic ur using different tenses of the SAME word the SAME WORD bottom line: what does "ignore" mean? whatever it means, it HAS to mean the same thing for all tenses of the word. now: if we go with your definition, whats the difference between ignorance and innocence?
@natmanprime That is the correct term though, and the difference between innocence and ignorance is innocence means you didnt do something, but ignorance is where you arent aware of something. Sometimes people who are innocent are ignorant to the crime or sin or whatever, but not all the time of course
@Woopycushiun but thats not how we mean innocence when we say "innocent child", or "losing one's innocence". when a child says something "innocently" we mean he is not AWARE of what he's saying. putting your definition in there wouldnt make sense at all.
We all are affecting the world around us infinitely, but we are unaware of most of it, even though we are causing it, butterfly effect etc. ok, so: we are all guilty unless we are ignorant, but ignorance is no PLEA lol
@natmanprime It is true however that ignore is the root of ignorance, and ignore once did actually mean not to know, but as time goes on the definition of ignore has changed to be willfully negligent, meaning that someone that is ignoring someone else is not in ignorance of them.
ignorance is inherently deliberate, hence- 'ignore' ance
if someone ignores you they are in ignore-ance of you
willful, deliberate innocence is ignorance
thats why ignorance is no plea against the law
but innocence is

@natmanprime you cant just make definitions up like that, ignorance isn't deliberate

IGNORANT suggests a lack of knowledge

@natmanprime
ignore is to
: to refuse to notice : pay no attention to
so you could say one who is ignoring is feigning ignorance but in reality they are not in a state of ignorance, they are in a state of ignoring
