I bought this lens, a store of video cameras in Portugal.

But you can buy online, for example on ebay:

It is very expensive, I think it is not worth much money. The performance is not so good.

Preferable buy a camera with more zoom range (without lens extra)

If your Panasonic handycam have a 30mm diameter lens, yes this work :)

For example, this lens dont work in the newest Sony HDR cx160, because the lens is wider than the HDR CX116

I cant mean you know technical details, but I can say that the recording in 1080p has more definition and quality :)

The HDR-CX116e and 105e dont record in 1080p

But you can record in 1080p with the Sony HDR-CX160

@JnDsVlog 1080i means interlaced which records with lines to connect each pixel and 1080p means progressive which is better for sports and stuff as you do not get the lines interfering with the overall image

With the HDR-CX160e is not compatible because have a 37mm lens diameter.

The HDR-CX130 I dont know what is the diameter lens. Is 30mm or 37mm???

I suggest you, the HDR-CX160E.

This is the 2011 model and comes with many improvements in image quality. In Europe it costs € 500. I bought one for me. And I am not sorry. If I could turn back, bought again the HDR-CX160E :)

HD ; FX (1920x1080i, 24Mbps) / FH (1920x1080i, 16Mbps) / HQ (9Mbps) / LP (5Mbps) , SD ; HQ (9Mbps)

I guess you could use software to deinterlace but this means recode and thus further reduce quality :( ok, now I need a different HD cam to consider buying

The Sony camcorder's is my favorite, are the most beautiful, with the best aesthetic!. But I think that none Sony record in 1080p, but I'm not sure.

Perhaps there are machines with higher performance, and cheaper, but more bit ugly than the Sony

¿Se puede saber en donde está conectado el control externo que está en la manija del tripié?,ya que esta camara no tiene ninguna coneccion de entrada,ni siquiera de mic,nada entra,sino que todo sale.

Ten en cuenta que hay mucha gente que no entiende nada,tambien somos muchos los que sabemos,con esto te quiero decir que es imposible que se le pueda conectar ese control a dicha camara,ya que la misma nesecita una coneccion de control Lanc.

Tratar de mostrar esto,es engañar a la gente.

O Hugo está equivocado, a HDR-CX116e tem uma entrada para este tripé da Sony, entrada A/V remoto, conforme pode ver na filmagem o cabo ligado.

Sim, a 116e tem opção ligar este tripé Sony com telecomando.

Excelente para filmar sem tocar na camara evitando tremidelas desnecessarias.

hey there! the tele converter does the job well! I wanna get the cs116e with the wide conversion lens.its only disadvantage as i found is that it doesnt get external microphone.are you satisfied with the inbuild one? Also whats the name of the song? Cheers!

I have too the wide conversion lens, but is not Sony, and not work very well. The Sony wide lens is very expensive.

is not possible to connect external microphone. But no problem, I do not see much utility to do so.

I'm happy with the 116e, crystal clear movies in HD (FX HD or Full HD), but I take into account that is a machine for fun not for professional work.

i just seen this comment thanks for reply ! You can get the sony lens for like 140 $ brand new from amazon or ebay! do a search there and you will find them cheap! Yeah sure its a mid range machine but still you can film pro movies !

yeah sure its nice but with the external one you can get better results :) what editing software you use? i have everyone there is,(power director 8,sony vegas pro 9 and premiere cs5)

I use the Pinnacle Studio 14. But you need a good computer to work with Full HD movies (recommend CPU 2.6ghz Quad with 3gb Ram memory).

Very simple to use (The Vegas is very complicated, almost, we need to take a technical course ! :P

tens que levar em conta o diametro da lente.

A 116e permite lentes de 30mm. Ou então usas um adaptador para lentes de 30mm e colocas a lente que quiseres.
