  • Can u upload it complete ?

  • good lord i remember when this 1st came on...lord i feel old

  • wheres the one disney one this is terrible

  • When i was a kid l loved this cartoon. One of my favorites.

  • LOVE THIS...THANK YOU FOR POSTING...

  • I been looking for this for ages so thanks for putting it up

  • Great memories of Saturday mornings in 1966/1967! : )

  • All I remember about this series was Kong's Archenemy--Doctor Who...

  • I have been thinking about this series for years! I always hoped it would pop up on the Cartoon network, or TVland or something. I remember watching it when I was a boy, and I loved it! It's so cool to find it again. Too bad the whole show isn't available here, but it was good to see what I could after so long! :-)

  • Wish we had the rest of this episode.

  • Tremendous theme song!

  • I have often thought about this cartoon over the years I used to love it along with was it Land of the Dinosaurs or something later I think. Like others I always loved the song

  • This show was my first introduction to the character of King Kong. I didn't see the classic 1933 film until several years later.

  • I remember this show very well from when I was a kid. TV cartoons were all done with limited animation back then, so it didn't seem especially crude compared to what we were used to seeing. Not as good as JONNY QUEST, of course, but certainly no worse than some of the other programs that were popular at the time. I remember thinking it was pretty cool that they had a show about King Kong in which he didn't get killed.

  • @BillFugate Toei animated "The King Kong Show" for Rankin/Bass

  • This Rankin-Bass cartoon series was very special, because it had a style all its own,,

and durring the height of RB's success with their Stop motion specials(still the best)

KING KONG had become one of ABC-TV's best animated series in 1966. i don't really

say that about all Japanese animation, but this was among the few, that i enjoyed!

  • omg, i lolled so much, and not in the good way

  • Shirley he is bigger than ten times as big as a man. The animation in this was seriously flawed. The scripts were awful and the voice characterisarions were weak.

  • @zapkvr Who's Shirley?

  • can u pls upload the rest ?

  • Ok, but..where is the rest of it ?

  • i think this was part of the banana splits show but i'm not sure

  • @melbea03 no,, this was a few years prior to Banana splits

  • @melbea03 i remember it being apart of the Wee Willy Webber Show on wphl 17 philadelphia.

  • @melbea03 I'm sure you are incorrect. Danger island was on the Bannana Splits

  • i always remember the animation as being so much better...

  • Banzai for the American/Japanese Cartton!

  • What would an anthropologist be doing on an uninhabited island that all the natives avoid?

  • @LordBifford Looking for some peace and quiet perhaps?

  • love this brings me way back

  • The music is the same as Rankin Bass' Mad Monster Party in 1967, a puppet film about Halloween monsters on an island with a giant Ape. Maybe the idea for King Kong was born out of that

  • Comment removed

  • Remember seeing this back in the 70s on Ch 25 in Boston (then owned by Pat Robertson, but later bought by Fox--from 700 Club to Married...With Children!) This series also featured Tom of THUMB (comp. with stereotypical Asian sidekick), miniturized special agents

  • Captain Angelhorn looks like he's turning Japanese....I really think so.

  • well gee, i guess maybe the original air date or what have you would be more informative. rather than "No nt thattype of piot." is that like some form of lazy leet talk bullshit i'm just a pappy and stuff idk?

  • I wish they had released the whole series on DVD. They stopped just short of the "Mechanikong" episode. Sucks.

  • Thanks for posting this!

  • I think they don't know what "10 times as big as a man" means.

  • I would love to know, how some of these folks are lucky enough to find these older shows and download them!

  • I remember this show when it first aired. Not so much the show itself but the theme song has been playing in my head for 40 years.THANKS

  • I am the same way! I remember this show back in the early seventies and had this theme song in my head for years!

  • That guy was smoking a pipe? As for Bobby's voice the same as Rudolph, they were both Videocraft IIRC so why the heck not? The local mall back around 1970 had a place called "Park-a-Kid Theatre" where parents could dump their kids for a price where they watched cartoons until they finished shopping. King Kong, Spider Man, Sinbad and maybe a few others were the mainstay.

  • the cartoon was released in our country on early seventy , then I was seven years old . I was very fascinated by the cartoon series. It was nearly washed way from my memory , but now it is refreshed by seeing it on you tube. Thank you very much twadlesuar for posting the awesome masterpiece.

  • Boy! I sure remember this cartoon! This cartoon brings me back to the years in the 1960's when EVERY channel was showing cartoons EVERY Saturday morning.

  • I was seven years-old when this series was syndicated by ABC. So, I honestly don't remember seeing the pilot/premier until just now. Thank you, so much, for helping revive some cherished childhood memories!

  • Was Englehorn supposed to be Japanese?

  • Is Bobby's voice the same as the voice of Rudolph the red nosed reindeer???

  • Yup, both were done by Billie Mae Richards. She also did the voice of Tenderheart Bear in "The Care Bears". Born in 1921 and still alive and kickin'.

  • I watched this show on saturday mornings in the 1980's!!! Brings back memories. Thanks so much for the post!

  • toon kong Vs toon godzilla

  • This series was originally seen on ABC' Saturday morning schedule {U.S.} in the 1966-'67 season...this pilot episode aired on September 10, 1966.

  • in this king kong, kong fell in love with a boy???

    not Anne Darow?

well its kinda wierd to use king kong plot and change it like that

  • This king kong cat here would pretty much get his ass kicked nowadays. He's a wuss. I'd like to see him go toe to toe with Predator

  • Can't believe this is here! watched this as a 10 yr old on HTV wales in Cardiff. Always a poor aerial reception if I recall. Never got to see the end as it clashed with Blue Peter which my (older) sister watched. Hell I'm getting angry again just thinking about it. I think I'll ring her.
