  • WC is an amazing place and I would reccomend it to anyone! I volunteered for 2 weeks last summer and I get the pleasure of working there this summer! I am so excited!

  • Hi,

My name is Jessica Cuzme. I am an adult with PWS. I live fully on my own in Hong Kong. Of course I have a helper to help me with my food. I work at a primary school as a living. I think that I could be a great asset to you guys as a staff member. When is the camp and where is the camp located.

    Jessica

  • @jjcuzme you can find all the info at our website listed in the video description.

the camp is located at The Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri USA

We have 2 weeks dedicated to PWS and they are June 19-24 & July 17-22

  • Wow, my daughter is 3 with PWS so I will deffinitely be looking into this when she turns 6. It is a great thing you are doing with this camp and I fully intend on taking her there now that I know about. Thank you!

  • I'm so showing this to my Mom! My younger sister has PWS.

    This sounds very neat.

  • if you need info be sure to check our website or you can call 1-573-392-1000

  • @WonderlandCamp Okay thanks a bunch!

p.s - What are the ages? Because my sister is like two.

  • Age 6 and older.

In a few years she will be able to come to camp.

  • I have a question.....suppose you have one child with PWS, and one without. How do you handle mealtimes where you HAVE to give the non-afflicted child a larger portion, because that's what their body needs?

  • We have 1-2 weeks a season set aside just for kids & adults who have PWS.

  • No, I didn't mean at camp, I meant in like, a family dinner table type situation.

  • oh sorry, well I am not sure really.

My suggestion would be if they have to eat together give them the same portions. Then a little later give the non-afflicted the 2nd part of his meal alone. Otherwise I would suggest that they need to eat separately.

I am not a counselor or trained to handle this so I would suggest contacting someone at pwsausa for more help.

  • Oh, no worries--I was just curious. :)

  • man what a great place, god bless!

  • god bless you guys. ide love to work with you all =)

  • Wonderland Camp is an excellent place to send a child, spouse, or relative. The care the staff give is amazing and the activities make sure that the camper has fun and gets to meet new people and create friendships that last a lifetime.

  • god bless you all!

  • rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr i think it a brill video
