Anyone heard from this gentleman lately? His demonstrations of the G-tube were most informative As an 8-yr. survivor of EC Stage III (T3N1M0) I had a J-tube implanted during my Minimally Invasive Esophagectomy @ University of Pittsburgh Med. Ctr. May 17, 2003~J-tube is inserted in the Jejunum, 2nd section of small intestine & is easier 2 use than a G-tube. Dr. James D. Luketich pioneered the MIE & takes self-referrals for those diagnosed with Esophageal Cancer. ACS/CSN.org has EC survivors
@nek1555 Ken you used to have drawing videos, are they still here or you erased them?...I was just checking some art videos suddenly remembered yours...have a good weekend..
@alinn71 I removed many of my older videos that were not getting views. The drawing videos are now history. I'm leaving the cancer videos because when someone discovers that they have cancer in their family, they type in keywords that sometimes take them to my videos.
@nek1555 it is ok, glad you kept these videos...i found this channel atomicus5000 if you would like to visit an art channel, they are great...especially i loved the jethro tull, ian anderson drawing...thanks :)
@nek1555 Thank you very much, someone very close to me is going thru this as well, and btw, Iam sorry I might sound stupid when I say this but I haven't watched too many of your videos, anyway the question - did you have surgery? AKA esophagectomy
@whitewadenumber3 We did talk about surgery that would remove most of my esophagus, and move the stomach up closer to my throat area. We discussed all the pros and cons, and decided to treat the cancer only with chemo and radiation.
P.S. I would never be able to go back and watch all my videos, so I don't expect anyone to do that.
You look chipper and glowing! To me, that means nothing will harm you again and you will have many birdies on the course!!! Great to hear your updates, and btw, try out the new Links at wgt.com just a free 9 hole game. I got hooked on it 2 days ago. Could only get 2 birdies.
I was offered a surgery to remove my barrettes. Have you ever asked about that? I went for a second opinion and found that I may not have it that my former gastro doc did not do enough biopsy. ugh. I take a medicine for my acid reflux. I'm so glad everything has been going well for you! I think of you often and wish you the best always. Hope you had a good Birthday too! :-)
@jellybean4501 At first, they offered to remove much of my esophagus, but that just didn't sound very appealing to me. I think that I want to hang onto it, barrettes and all. I take prevacid. Thanks for the wishes!
Thats good news Ken! Its so great to see you make a video! I can't believe you ate hotdogs when you were told to eat mush! You are a terrible patient! Happy belated birthday! I better not have to wait 3 months for another video!
@Fightdog Sorry, 'mush' wasn't on the menu at the hotdog stand, not a popular item I guess. Yes, I know I need to be putting up vids a little more often.
You look good! Remember Fernando Lamas said, "Looking good is feeling good and you look Mahvelous!!" Chicago dogs are good for you!! Just remember to chew Hooray for a good report. Glad to see you on those rare times that I get to see you! Come back and talk to us again sooner!!!
they put pipsid<--spelling to line the stomach, then steroids, benadryl, the carbotaxol
in what order I'm not sure, except the pepsid is first. it's my 3rd and after the 18th (it's
the 30th now) my stomach hasn't felt food for several days. I'm eating jello w/banana
boiled eggs. hopefully it will set well. i'm scheduled for work today (need the insurance)
hope i can make it today & tomorrow - 16 hrs a week

@jill506 I never did look into details of what all they added along with my chemo.
If food fails, drink some Ensure. I found Ensure to be soothing to the stomach.
Good luck with work. I understand the importance of keeping up with the insurance.
