@mybrohatesme Yeah I thought about that later. I was planning on having a choice between something motorcycle related and some sort of gift card or something.
ya i know how it is i have been off the bike for a year now im going crazy cuz i cant buy one i have no job so is going to be real hard for me wen i get back on and make vid all over who know thay may suck eral bad but i make vid any way lol
I just bought my first bike a 2000 honda cbr 600 just waiting for the weather to warm up a lil more. Got myself an icon Arc jacket which cost me 300 and a Bell Star Cerwinske Carbon fiber helmet which i picked up new from ebay for $215 :D did a lil walk around of the bike just itching to get out there
@nanahc It means you can put ads on your videos and get paid. It also means you can customize your youtube channel more. There are other perks but I haven't figured out what all of them are yet.
I started last year, made a few videos then took a break because my recording equipment sucked. When I got my new camera this year I had more than enough topics in my mind that I was able to jump in and record. I think a break can be a good thing because you give yourself time to just enjoy riding and not think about new topics for vlogs. You just have to make sure you have a few extra saved for your subscribers so they have something new every week.
@LifeInDecibel Its funny really. I filmed this about 3 days ago. Since then just from talking to other motorcycle vloggers and thinking about it a bit I've come up with tons of topics. It seems hard to get back into the swing of things at first but after a few weeks things start come back to me. I'm going to start a new story series where I talk about interesting events in my life and just from that I have a list of about 15 stories. I just thought of two more while typing this. :)
@kryten I'm right there with you. I have ideas pop into my head all of the time. I have a list on my Iphone of topics that I'm constantly adding to. I think I currently have something like 28 topic/vlog ideas on that list. If I go out and record say 4 on one day and remove them from the list, later during the week I add like 7 or 8 more lol.
You should definitely do some reviews mate, your opinion counts higher than someone who is being paid to review it for a magazine or something because you've actually used it for more than an hour.
Also, I don't think you should put your Youtube money into prizes and such. Put it in your gas-tank and get some more miles under you. Video it and we'll be happy. That's my opinion anyhows.
@OoxTruExoO I hope people get something out of the reviews.
As for putting the Youtube money into prizes for contests, I'll probably do it a few times. I just want to give something back I guess. I've never been into this to make money. I wanted to be a Youtube partner for the other perks. Besides it'll will give people an incentive to participate in some of the contests I want to have. I've had little video contests before and the same 4 or 5 people are the only ones that participate.
@sgtmarkins Hehe. Well I took a break for other reason recently. I did ride during the winter. I just didn't vlog. I may not take a break next winter. I rode my dual sport bike a lot in the winter since I tend to ride it slower. So maybe next winter I'll try to do a lot of dual sport videos and I wont get rusty.
I am still new to VLogging, but I don't think it is really hard to get back into it. Especially when you are already established with a bunch of subscribers who comment on your vids. Having said that... Take a look at those comments again and you will be surprised what they write that could possibly be future topics for you to vlog about. :-) Looking forward to your reviews and How To's.
@Wolphe22 Well I'm able to start vlogging again but some of the habits I try to overcome like saying uh, repeating myself and things like that come back and I suck at vlogging for a while until I get back into the habit. And you're absolutely right about the comments thing. I often find things to talk about in the comments of videos I've already made.
Thanks for watching and I hope you like the videos I have planned.
@kryten It's all good, man. My Bike Walk around vid, I noticed I said "So" a lot, lol. (Never noticed it before till I heard myself), but I used it as a comedy prop. :-)
Your bike sounds awesome

@LifeInDecibel I do the exact same thing. I keep a note on my iPhone called vlog ideas. Just added some things to it this morning.

gear reviews is a good thing.. i much prefer knowing the bad aspects of things rather than knowing all the flashy marketing aspects.
