Beehive rounds, perfect for Home defense when slung under a AR15. Since they will not over penetrate (unlike .223) and will bounce around inside the burglar.
Id think this is more of a "lets blow the lock of this" kinda weapon. I dont see how it would be practical in a fight. But if you needed a door lock blown out then ya.
But you do get more range...22lr can go to 100yd before it really starts to get hairy, buckshot goes 50yds at best on a tactical style shotgun (cylinder choke, 18in barrel)
@Patriot36 Exactly, very interesting and fun, but you are much better off with a 10 or 12 ga. pump or semi auto. Not to mention of course, those grenade launchers can be hard to come by.
OK seriously, how does this stack up against a 3" 12G 00 Buck?
I am guessing that you have an effective .22 barrel length of maybe 1.5" to 2"? So it's like firing several .22 pocket guns all at once. Bullet size and weight would be comparable to the 00 buck pellets, but how is the velocity comparison? I am guessing you would get less "shot spread" with the .22 at longer range than with the OO Buck.
weaker try stronger the .22 is much heaver then a 00 buck shoot there for it will tear your head right off try to under stand what it is that you are talking about before you make a comment
Do you know who manufactures these, and if they are the same people behind the red 10-shot version? They are classified as destructive devices, right?
talk about birdshot on steriods!

They use the 40mm launcher for gas and rubber rounds, but that is awsome it is like a shot gun but with the capablity of also shotting the HE round.
AKxALLxDAYx 2 years ago
Huh. I didn't know that Federal Labs ever made a 40mm launcher, I have one of their "Riot and Gas Gun" models in 1.5" sitting on my shelf.

Less energy than 3" OOBK 15 pellets at well over 1200FPS.....and you only have one shot. Still, interesting and fun no doubt.

simple you guys can stop arguing and try this out for yourself.
blast a watermelon once with a 12 guage buckshot, and then shoot another watermelon 18 times in a tight group with a .22, tell us the results.

Wow, that M203 Shell looks almost look like the shells used in Airsoft, except that Shell uses Live Rounds.

basically a .22 rifle that spreads in the shape of a grenade launcher which is weaker than a actual shotgun
jake51515 2 years ago
Yea but there are 18 rounds
RYDERkN 2 years ago
true but a shotgun has 800 pellets for birdshot and 15 marable sized pellets for 00buckshot.
jake51515 2 years ago
its got a greater range and maybe accuracy
RYDERkN 2 years ago
try 9 pellets a lot smaller than marbles, (9 pellets adding up to 1/12th of a pound or a little over an ounce of lead)
