Well.... to be honest, it's not. The photos make it look clean, but it's not. However, since it is the closest beach to me, I"ll take it. I just won't swim there.
Great start to the video. I love when you go to the beach and either you just walk there or your riding there and all the sudden just a WALL of water. Awesome.
Nice work on the flying vulture things! I have been hoping to get close enough for some good shots out here in the desert for some time... no luck so far!
I'm not sure if they were condors or vultures or what - they certainly weren't the red-tailed hawks I usually see. They were kind of like Hekyll and Jekyll, sitting there like that.
You have made my plans for tomorrow. Galveston.
RiverBirch1967 3 years ago
I'd love to go there someday - I hear it's quite nice.

Ken - this is your most eloquent vlog
to date! In fact, I don't think I even listened
to the others. What were they about again?
5 stars.

I've deleted all the others. This sums it all up.

Thanks! I love listening to the ocean come in view as I walk over that dune.
kenrg 3 years ago
Oooh what beach is that?
missdivinestalls 3 years ago
In Moss Landing (between Santa Cruz and Monterey) - it's called the Salinas River Beach. Very nice place.
kenrg 3 years ago
I think I detected a lisp I hadn't noticed before.
3CoolKats 3 years ago
No lisp - it as just the wind noise on the cheap built-in camera mic.

I was kind of surprised at how close they let me get to them. Then I began to wonder if that meant they were eying me for lunch...
kenrg 3 years ago
this was great thank you for the shoutout!!

Thank you for the music, as always!

Great seashore shots kenrg! I really enjoyed the subtle narrative...

Subtle as 15 lb sledge hammer ;^)

Nice!
I agree with everything you said!

I thought you might. It's a similar subject to many of your vlogs.

The ocean is one of my favorite places too Ken. Thanks for the cool video.
TruthWarrior90 3 years ago
Something about the ocean calls to us. It's very centering.

This helped Knarf escape...It helped Knarf escape from the mutant Epson printers chasing Knarf.
Knarfaholic 3 years ago
Epson printers are evil. Glad Knarf safe.
kenrg 3 years ago
You and Knarf both, brother!

the sound of the waves reminds me of your talking voice...so it really is a vlog :)
ralfonzo83 3 years ago
The waves are slightly less irritating than my voice.
kenrg 3 years ago
You have one of the BEST voices on YouTube as far as vlogging is concerned.
Fact.

kenrg 3 years ago
My point exactly.
kenrg 3 years ago
I like the look of that beach Ken. Do you want to swap?
Nice video. very relaxing & great music too :)
andymooseman 3 years ago
A grand beach swapping arrangement? How about just a visit to each other's beaches? And I suppose we'll have to include Curt in this too, right?
kenrg 3 years ago
Sounds good to me Ken.
A sort of "i'll show you mine, if you show me yours" type of thing? ;)
I think Curt's beach would be a welcome addition.
andymooseman 3 years ago
everyone on this planet has his own beach...except of me :(
ralfonzo83 3 years ago
You need to move to be beside the sea Ralf.
Either that, or come with me when i finally get around to visiting Ken & Curt :)
andymooseman 3 years ago
Absolutely beautiful. No words needed. Thanks for this. We needed it after all this crappy winter weather here in Ohio.

This was to celebrate the end of a couple of weeks of non-stop rain for us here, too.

Just a few months away. Whether it is on the west coast or the east, summer beckons.

It's beautiful, but I also know that water is soooooo cold this time of year.

Well, I'd rather walk on the beach of a cold ocean, than have to shovel three feet of snow ;^)

That looks a lot like Fort Funston right at the beginning. I was supposed to go to Moss Landing a few weeks ago, but it never happened.

It's a beautiful stretch of beach - and very quiet on weekdays.
kenrg 3 years ago
this is so nice. love love love it

But it needs a good Mysti Mahem song for the soundtrack...
kenrg 3 years ago
How lucky you are to be able to visit the ocean. Thank you so much for putting this on. We don't see this kind of stuff in Iowa.
legalass17 3 years ago
I can't live in a state without an ocean. It's just not something I can even imagine.
kenrg 3 years ago
Doesn't get much better than sand, surf, seagulls and sandpipers! But then you add condors! Were those condors? That was an excellent day!
brignoni68 3 years ago
I'm not sure if they were condors or vultures or what - they certainly weren't the red-tailed hawks I usually see. They were kind of like Hekyll and Jekyll, sitting there like that.
